well, so I have very little acne, closed comedones, some blackheads on my nose. my problem is that these comedones sometimes becomes inflamed and then my stupid hands just have to pick at them. so now Im left with some scarring and red marks. my question is, will the blue/red light therapy help? I know the red light is suppose to help with skin rejuvenation so will that help with my scars? can I just use the red light on its own? would the blue light benefit me at all since I dont have the deep cystic kind of acne? please help me!! I'm about to purchase these lights from SciArt cuz I'm desperate now. I had perfect skin up to this point and am really really frustrated to the point where I dont wanna go out anymore...

the lights don't work as well on comedones... the red will however help boost collagen and the turn over rate of your skin cells... which will help with scarring.

I would recommend doing both blue and red light... + retin-a micro.

It sounds like you would benefit from retin-a micro the most.

That's your first priority, right there. ^ & It's free, if you haven't actually read through it.

The lights worked for me, but with a combination. I used topicals, my beautyskin light, & I pretty much quit picking.

Are you using any topicals?

thank you guys for replying! and man that sounds like me! I just cant stop picking at my damn face, I also pick at scabs, and bite my lips a lot. shoot I knew I had some sort of a problem...anyway, so for the past couple of days (like 2) I've stopped picking, and picked up smoking again, that seems to help I donno why. I know smoking is bad for your skin too but it doesnt seem to effect me in that way. ok so yes back to the subject. I do use some topicals. I wash with the neutrogena daily acne scrub that contains 2% SA and then I wash my face with regular face wash that I've been using for like 4 years so I know that's not the cause of my problems (I've had this since my face was clear) and then I use Melederm (from the Civant company for hyperpigmentation) that seems to help with the spots A LOT. but anyway, it's just not going away fast enough so I need something that will boost the healing process. I noticed that if I dont pick at my spots AT ALL, they heal so much quicker and dont even leave much of a scar or pigmentation. but anyway, so the blue/red lights would help very minimally it sounds like? I'd like to just use the red lights if that's possible, but dont know if there will be any adverse effects since I've been reading that you need to use the two in conjunction. I've never tried retin-a before. doesnt that break you out???
