Ok, I know this is a bit weird, but, ever since I've gone onto Accutane, I've been having dreams. It happens evrey time I go to sleep, even when I'm snoozing. They have been pretty scary eg watching family die, fights with my boyfriend where he is really nasty (which he is not in real life), getting shot...
Yes they do sound silly but it is freaking me out.

Advice greatly appreciated

Are you sleeping more than usual? That's the only explanation I can think of. smile.gif The more you sleep, the more likely you are to remember your dreams, even when just taking a little snooze.

Not really, I'm finding it hard to sleep at night and on weekends, once I'm woken up eg by a car outside or something then I can hardly get back to sleep. Then when I do - Dreams.

I'm not f@*&ed up in the head am I?

Hmm...

Oh and I never used to dream as commonly as this...

No, it's not weird. smile.gif You're not crazy! Perhaps your body is forcing you to go into REM sleep as you're not sleeping well at night. REM sleep is the housekeeping phase of sleep where your brain organizes itself, cleans up a bit.

People do go through phases over the years of having more memory of their dreams than not, and then not remembering them at all to the point of denying any dreaming. It's ok, it is natural. smile.gif

Sounds like an opening to some upcoming depression and suicidal acts. If I were you, I'd let the derm know about it, it might be serious, it might not be, but best thing to do is play it safe instead of ignoring it now, and causing a death to you or a loved one later on.

I've been like that my WHOLE course. (suppose to start my 5th month Friday)

The only way I get a decent nights sleep anymore is Excedrin PM or something similar.
Derm recommended it to me and I do it about 2-3 times a week.

I am dreaming a lot too. I'm having problems sleeping, I seem to wake up every 5 minutes and have a new dream each time, it drives me mad.

I lowered my dose recently and that's helped. Not an option for some though I know.

My sleep patters have been 'slightly' askew since starting, also dreams are more intense than I remember prior to tane. Read on here somebody dreams what they were thinking of right before they fell asleep. This sort of made sense to me and I started trying to think very positively or at least nothing negative before falling asleep. Its worked so far!!!

Hey I had nightmares every night for the whole first month of tane and then they slowly subsidded to like once a month....pretty regular now. Mine were really scary to and very vivid....firend and family dying, id wake up in panic, fall back asleep and then id be at their funeral...it was crazy, but i never developed depression.
