Small bumps plugged pores could be a fungus.

low-dose Accutane (I'm on a super-low maintenance dose for now)
Finacea (just started, hoping it'll keep the redness down on my cheeks where the bumps come up)
a slew of anti-fungal supplements from BioActive Nutrients
low-carb diet
wash with Head & Shoulders
topicals: Vivant mandelic acid, Vivant Spin Trap
I don't get many of these bumps, but the ones I do get are on my face and hard to hide ... they tend to pop up right along my cheekbones and cause redness there. I also get a few colorless ones on my forehead and jaw.
I think the antifungals are helping, but I'm just starting my 3rd week ....

yh they r smal and flesh colour (seem to be whitheads i think too). a small cluster on the right side of my face, not too far up from my chin and another on the left. they r not rlly itchy, but on occasion.
(as well as this i also have some bacne, which ive been taking pills for)
is it worth going to a derm for soemthing to clear this up?

I really need to look into this at every angle, because i have been starting to do the "no washing regimen". Just splashing with water.

it would be really helpful for us if you could find a picture (on the net i guess) where the red spots look like fungus symptoms..thanks in advance

In general, I don't like BP, it can cause early signs of aging, dries out skin, and is not the best product when dealing with sensitive skin. To get rid of small, irritating bumps, try Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA). That's what I use and it seems to work pretty well and I have sensitive skin too. Well, I hope that answers your question! =3
I have sensitive skin and the bp is the only thing that works. BHAs burn like fire for me and DRIES me out to no end. My skin actually looks and feels younger - so why misinform people by saying it makes them look older? I have fewer lines on my face and my skin looks a lot better by the way. BP can be drying but nowhere near as bad as BHAs. My skin turned bright red and peeled on my chin and cheeks. Talk about painful recovery.
BP has never done that to me and I use the 2.5%. Please keep in mind that while people may have similar skin types that their skin may react differently from what you recommend. Always do a small test spot FIRST.

Can these develop from playing sports and sweating while wearing a tight fitted hat on? 'Cause I think that's why I got these. They're driving me crazy and I think they've spread around the rest of my face. :[
Someone help me, I'll post a picture tomorrow if someone would like to help judge. :/

-- Vivant mandelic cleanser
-- Psoriasin gel (active ingredient is coal tar ... you find it in some medicated shampoos, but this gel formulation is much easier on my skin)
-- DermaDoctor Born to be Mild cleanser (active ingredient is zinc pyrithione)
-- Head & Shoulders (zinc pyrithione again)
-- Low-carb, low-sugar diet
With the cleansers and the gel, the trick is to rotate among the various treatments. After a few weeks, the fungus starts resisting treatment and you have to hit it with something else.
Head & Shoulders is too harsh for my face, but shampooing with it once a week or so definitely helps to keep the bumps away from my hairline.
Anti-fungal supplements didn't seem to help me at all. They're expensive and you have to take them several times a day ........ too high-maintenance for me!
