I've been looking up accutane side-effects and a lot of them have to do with eyes. I was wondering though, how common these side effects are and if there are any other ones that I haven't read about yet.

So, my question is: what did accutane do to your eyes?

It dried them out a lot. It was worst the first few weeks.. now they feel pretty much normal, they just sting a little every once in a while

edit:Im only on 40mg/75kg so it's a low dose, also I cant really wear normal contacts anymore

gave me corneal ulcers and i still have constant dry eye, blepharitis/mgd 8 months post tane very rare but it can still happen to very unlucky people met a few ppl on these boards it happened to as well, if you wear contacts and you dont wanna wear glasses i wouldnt go on accutane in my opinion as it can really effect wearing ur contacts even after treatment maybe over time it wil get better but probably not 1-2 years after treament or more

I recently had my annual eye exam. My eye sight in one of my eyes got a LOT worse because of Accutane. My eye doc was really surprised. My eyes aren't even dry, and I don't have any corneal ulcers. My eyes are healthy otherwise.. I do wear contacts though. My doc couldn't tell me if the side-effects would be permanent or not. Weird thing is these new contacts with the stronger rx are cheaper...
