alright I'm getting worried now because i am 10 weeks into accutane and my skin is still the same as when i started accutane, the only difference that i notice is that me face feels a bit smoother. at 2 months i went to my monthly derm appointment and he bumped me up to 80mgs from 60mgs witch i think is causing me to have another IB. is this normal??? and is anyone else in the same boat as me???

I'm on the exact same boat as you dosage wise. I began at 60 and got bumped up to 80 the 2nd month, and as well I'm in about my 8th week right now so I'm a slight bit behind you.

I'm pretty sure that the smoothing of the skin you're feeling is the loosening and such of smaller clogged pores, I've really noticed the difference it's made on my blackheads and whiteheads especially, my nose isn't completely full of them anymore. Although it is taking it's dear time to get rid of all my papules and cysts, it's definitely helped for the smaller less congested parts.

I'm 10 weeks into it also and my skin on my face looks the same, yet my back is no longer active. When I asked the derm about this he just said that it takes longer for face acne and that you normally don't notice a real difference until near the end of month 3/4. I'm still worried as I'm getting new ones all the time so I'm going to question my dosage next time. I have been at 30mgs constantly and its a 4 month prescription.

Keep smiling - it will get better

Hey guys I have 4 days left of Accutane and I didn't really start noticing
the results untill 3.5 months and now with 4 days left I have no active zits
or pimples or anything of that matter. Everyone just has to be patient, accutane
works you just have to give it time to do so smile.gif
