this is very tempting -- I mean VERY tempting. However, I have been looking on the Paulus Choice web site, and I see that she says the following:
The way these strips adhere can absolutely injure or tear skin. They are especially unsafe if you've been using Retin-A, Renova, AHAs or BHA; having facial peels; taking Accutane; or if you have naturally thin skin or any skin disorder such as rosacea, psoriasis, or seborrhea.
just thought people might want to consider this, and go very slowly with this technique if they are going to try it!

Just wanted to warn people about over-using pore strips. It is amazing the immediate results that you can get with them because you can get rid of so many blackheads in one quick rip but they can cause permanent damage.
I've always had really bad blackheads on my nose, the pores were really big and the black very noticable and I used pore strips for a couple of years whilst not on any medication.
My over enthusiasm for them though caused a spider thread vein to develop on the bridge of my nose. This was a bright red collection of capilliaries which could be seen through the skin, which turned white when pressed bec this cut off the blood supply.
No amount of make up would keep this big red mark covered up and overall didn't do much to help how I felt about my face.
I got referred to a dermatologist though and had a small proceedure which cauterised the capilliaries and stopped the redness. The result is fantastic but wish I'd not had it in the first place.
I'm now on accutane and the blackheads have disapeared, which is one of the big pros of accutane for me.

but you can't get prescribed for that surely?
i use pore strips, i steam my face first. i think they probably fuck up my skin but my blacheads are so severe i just can't help using them!
i found one brand strip that s quite strong, it pulls out a lot but its very sticky!

Accutane does stop the oil production in your skin so I suppose no oil production = no clogged pores.
I know what its like with blackheads though - especially when you have so many its hard to find a nice clear bit of skin on your face?!
Just be careful with those pore strips xxx
