Hi
just wondering if anyone is getting smoothbeam treatments done in the new york city area. Currently my Derm is charging $450 for a full face session, and that was the cheapest I could find. Does anyone know a derm in the area who charges less? thks

Hi, I'm thinking about getting these as well. I have
moderate acne scarring. Juva Skin & Laser Center (http://www.juvaskin.com/index.html) charges $650 per session, which seems high compared to the prices I've
seen listed here, although most are not in NYC. I just emailed
the Laser & Skin Surgery Center (http://www.laserskin...h/research.html) - I'll let you
know when they reply. What derm do you use?

dr. virgil hatcher- so far, he seems to be the lowest price derm for the procedure in the city. He also is very competent.

Dr. Katz is the Director of Juva, the consult was $350
and the treatments are $650 each. I have only
done the consult, which I don't think was worth
$350. He is pretty famous because he does a lot of
television appearances.

The Laser & Skin Surgery Center is another place in
New York. I have never been there, but they charge
$600 per session, and I don't know how much for consults.

I live on Long Island and a few months ago I was quoted $400.00 per treatment or $1200.00 for 4 treatments from a doctor in Mineola, here on the island, which is only about 25 miles from NYC. If you would like the doctor's info, I would be more than happy to provide it.

I don't know if there is a consult charge. I received the quote over the phone, and no consult charge was mentioned. Here's the doctor's contact information:

LEVINE, LAURIE JAYNE, MD
MINEOLA, NY

Hi all, I know i am not in the NYC area (wish i was though) i am in NM and the closest I got to a Dr that does smoothbeam lives about 4 hours away and his fees are 300, 100 for the consult and 200 per treatment for full face. I think thats substantial but don't really wanna travel 4 hours to have it done.

Question:
Has any one heard of the Lera (think thats how you spell it) Laser. i had my consult with a derm last week and she told me my best bet would be to go with a full face Lera laser tx and some microdermabrasions to help with my scarring and my scars mainly on my temples, cheeks and jawline and the cheeks and temple area are pretty much pitted. Let me know if anyone has heard of this new laser and if it is similar to the Smoothbeam. thanks.
