Katu - I think 10 people for a blind trial would be good, and I guess if Deming were to go ahead, she would need to choose people who have bought her products, as that would be fair.

Maya, to choose among the loyal customers of PureDeming is good and fair idea! smile.gif
10 people should be enough since the study is not "official" and with some limitations anyway... (but the bigger sample size suggests greater statistical significance... :-k )

guys,
i received the reply from Deming:

"that is a wonderful idea! Unfortunately we have a minimum of oz that we can order at any time and do not have the funds right now to do. BUT, we do actually plan to incorporate using Jojoba oil instead of the Olive/Sunflower oils in ALL of our IG versions. We did test the Jojoba/Vit E vs Olive/sun/VitE and really think Jojoba is a much superior ingredient. Thus is about a month+ our 'regular' and "noC" IG's will have only Vitamin E oil [1300+Iu/gm] and Jojoba [no Olive/sunflower oils]. Meaning, at that time we could very easily do a blind study without incurring any extra costs. I'll keep you updated on when the regular IG and IGnoC have the Jojoba. Again, great idea! thanks much! Deming"

I received my R-ala version and I LOVE the jojoba oil!! I think it's really too soon to make a statement about the R-ala being more beneficial than the regular 50/50 ala blend. I love this Intense Gel, though.....I love the smell and I love the way my face feels afterward.....I will probably ALWAYS use this.

My update - I don't know if it's 'better' ... depends how you define 'better'

It peeled me a lot, it also made me have burning sensations on my face which eventually gave me a lot of flaking/flushing/down time ... where I had a week where my face looked horrible.

When I used the old version, I just felt well moisterised.

I used the biolamp throughout both above, so that didn't affect it more so.

I think I will stick with the old version, but I will occassionally use this new version (since I still have it) but I prefer the old one.

Just want to post how dissatisfied i was with this product. It stang my face and i washed it off after 20m. After two weeks, i am left with 2 white spots on my jaw and one on my temple. This probably has left other spots and i have not noticed. I am applying a Rx for eczema. One spot is the 1/2'' size. I am dark-olive tone and white spot looks awful. I wish i never bought it. Forget the regular PD--is going to the garbage too.
Really bad product for me.. I hate you PD...........

I love this stuff!!! Yes, it sting after I put it on for 10min at most, but other than no complaints. I have olive skin to and exfoliate very often. I find if I apply it right after I exfol then it gives me a bit longer of a sting....

This has been the best thing for my pore size and red marks; better than the regular ala version.

It only stings me for about 10-25 seconds after I put it on, and it does sting more after exfoliation, that is true.

If you don't have extremely sensitive skin, this is a fantastic product.

Denise2:

Do you think your decreased pore size is permanent, or will you have to stay on the PD RALA to maintain the results?

I also 2nd this product as being fantastic, when I use this at night I can tell a big change in the tone/texture of my skin the next morning.

VWolf: I'm not sure. I THINK I would have to stay on the product, not too sure. I notice when I do something like tca cross on my face and don't use the product for several days, my pores seem to take on a larger appearance.

It helps with the appearance of the smaller, shallower scars too.

IMHO, dhea and ala really are part of the acne/acne scar battle plan. I think since the inclusion of jojoba oil, the product penetrates 100% better also. That might be part of the reason some people are more sensitive and experience stinging.

One of the things about the dhea/ala combo is that it tones and tightens the skin; literally pulls the skin tighter to the face (all of this is talked about at great length in Perricone's books). That probably helps with the appearance of scars, too.

IMHO, this is one of the best products I've ever tried for acne/scars.

What is IMHO that you've mentioned? Couldn't find anything on Yahoo search.

Thanks!
