hi. I'm currently on my sixth week of Nimegen(another type of accutane from korea).
I'm taking 10mg of nimegen per day together with erythromycin pills.
but my skin condition is'nt improving at all. I dun have those big big pimples with pus but ive whiteheads all over my face.
E effects i see is only a less oily face & dry lips & those whiteheads are still there!
sld i continue or stop this treatment?
is 6 weeks too short & I sld wait longer?
anyone took more than 6 weeks to see improvement?

well, yes six weeks isn't long enough to tell. also you are on a very low dose, how much do you weigh? you should probably be on 60 or 80mg/day.

you should probably be on 60mg then based on your weight, or 40mg to be on the conservative side. does your doctor plan on increasing your dose?

how does my weight relates to e amt of dosage i sld take?
hmmmm, nope. I jus visited him once & from then I jus repurchase e pills from e clinic w/o consulting him.
I guess it's ok if i increase e dosage myself?

accutane dosing is based on weight. you should really be under the care of a qualified dermatologist while using accutane and should be getting blood tests on a regular basis, as well as pregnancy tests. it really isn't good to self medicate.

60mg is too high for your weight. The accutan dose should be about 0.5/kg/day- 1.o/kg/day. For your weight, accutane dose should be about 20mg-40mg. However, I'm not a dermatologist so how much accutane you should take should always be prescribe by your derm. Listen to him/her religiously that's all I can say. I'm also on accutane now and I weigh 45 kg . I am currently taking it at 20mg per day, i'm not sure whether my derm will increase the dose next month, I shall see.
6 weeks is a little too early to see results. It really depends on the individual. Some on accutane have reported to see results only at about the end of their course.

no, 60mg is not too high, usually they dose at 1mg/kg/day, and if you are in between they'll round up. she would be in between a 40 or 60mg dose, so either one would probably be fine.
