can anyone recommend something that would help very oily skin and mild inflammatory acne. this isn't for me, my skin is actually dry, but for my brother. i want to help him treat his acne and his skin is excessively oily. i was thinking of getting him one of the vivant acne kits. has anyone tried those? they seem really good. i don't know if he would use it though, he's been to a derm for acne and never used what she prescribed. he's also used proactiv, which helped a lot, but then he just stopped using it. but, like i said, his main problem is very oily skin so can anyone recommend something to help with the oil?

No one knows how to stop the oil. You would be a billionaire if you figure it out.

The only thing that I know can work for oily skin is accutane. I also have super oily skin and only accutane has been able to curb my oil. I think you know that already. Other then that, oil blotting sheets maybe? Otherwise, splashing your face frequently through the day should help. You can use body sprays as well.

^ sounds interesting. i know accutane works great for oil too, but it is such a pain in the ass to go to the dr every month, i don't think he would want to do it. it eliminated what little oil i had.

How about omega3? The neutrogena Im using really cuts down on oil to. In fact, now my face is very dry, except for my nose and my temples
