Ok im a 24 year old male and had mild/mod acne for years + oily skin, a year ago I spent thousands on Levulan (4 courses) and dont think it did shit, I think he was trying to just make up for buying the machine, half way throught the levulan I started to take 10g of B5 and still do becuase Im scared to drop it. Now about the Taz, I went to my family doctor and told him how upset I was about acne and he said he wouldnt give me accutane but to try Taz. Its been 3 1/2 months on it now and i had the inital breakout and all the dry peeling skin, Iam probly 90% clear but now my face is really red like a sunburn, my pores are very noticable and my oil production is going crazy. I also have benzaclin but have only used it a few times as spot treatment. i only was with warm water because all the cleansers ive used seem to irratate me. Is there something I should be doing or not doing or putting something else in my regiman?????

I started taking mass communication in my sophomore year, wanted to minor in psychology but after crashing my friend's class, I realised that mass comn interests me more.

My interests include watching Television, hanging out with friends, swimming and playing tennis. I am currently into martial arts and am taking Tae Kwon Do.

I am a christian, used to be Catholic, now Evangelist
I have a younger brother 5 years younger who doesn't have acne problems. I am also kinda short only 4ft11, 149cm so I dislike people who make fun of my height.

You need to incoporate sunscreen into your regimen. Tazorac is a retinoid so it increases your sensitivity to the sun. Benzaclin too also increases sun sensitivity. Maybe that's why you are red, you might be getting sunburn without knowing it. You might want to soothe your skin with some aloe vera gel.

If you find it too drying and peeling maybe you are using it too much, cut down on the application. Always go ask your doctor for advice should anything weid happens that is the most important.
