I have seen a lot on these boards about using head and shoulders shampoo on your face. does this really work, and if it does, what else do you wash with? Just the shampoo??? And does it matter what kind it is? I see lots of different "versions" of head & shoulders...

I don't use Selsun Blue on my face, except for that which inadvertently gets on facial skin when shampooing. I do, however use it in the shower as a body wash on occasion. It seems to help get rid of some acne that way, particularly when combined with the baby's hair brush method of exfoliation. I use the brush on the whole body once a week.
Either one, Head and Shoulders or Selsun Blue. I myself like the Selsun Blue 2 in 1 that has conditioner in it already. It smells nice. But whichever you pick, the active ingredient needs to have selenium sulfide to be effective. Don't leave it on, just rinse it off.

Can I just say, please be careful with this head and shoulders thing. I used it, and yes everyone is different, but I put it on at the beginning of my shower, and washed it off afterwards, so it wasn't on for long, but it gave me some kind of exzma, on my chest. My back was fine, but I'm not sure if it made a difference, but my chest, where the skin is thinnner, went red and itchy and took 2 weeks to calm down.
I think there are a lot better products for the body. I think Clinique's acne body spray is good. I don't remember the exact name. Obviously head and shoulders is cheaper, just don't go mad, untill you know your skin can take it.

Ouch! Good point. Some won't be able to tolerate the dandruff shampoos even as a body wash.
