Not likely at all. Try washing your hair with Selsun Blue or Head and Shoulders.

I also have a mild case of dandruff and I am pretty sure the excess shedding of skin cells on the scalp which causes dandruff is linked to the same hormones that cause acne. So I think its safe to say that a lot of acne sufferers also have a mild case of dandruff.

Dandruff is almost always from Seborrheic Dermatitis, but for most people it only affects their scalp. It is possible to get pimples with seborrheic dermatitis, especially along the hairline. When my SD was really bad my acne was way worse. Seborrheic dermatitis can in itself cause pimples that are really impossible to differentiate from acne and are from a yeast called Pityrosporum ovale. There are also some other yeasts that are associated with SD and pimples. Does your face get flaky around your nose and eyebrows?, if so you probably have SD on your face too. When mine is at it's worst it is over my whole face, ears, back, chest, armpits and even my belly button. It is mainly just red itchy skin, that gets kind of flaky, but very flaky on my face and scalp.
The only things that really helped my seborrheic dermatitis were Ketoconazole Pills (anti-fungal), and the Paleo Diet.
