Well I'm 15 and have been using proactiv for over a year and minocycline for almost 6 months, and my perscription will soon come to an end. I don't think my doctor will give me more, and I know that it is the only thing doing the job and proactiv is horrible, so I'm going to quit that. What is the best over the counter, or perscription I can ask for that will make my skin look nice and stay relatively acne free? I want something not as harsh as BP cause my face is kinda chewed up from it. I mean not as smooth as i would like it. Thanks, looking forward to your replys.

is your acne bad? My doctor persecribed me to the same stuff and he said its not that powerfull so ionoo

my acne was quite bad and i havn't had a pimple since like my second month of minocycline... besides little dots that appear every now and then but they go away in a day or so, its been great on minocycline, havn't had to think about acne at all, been haven a much better life, but ah well its gotta end i'll live i'm not some nut who freaks out about it

i say stick to minocycline.

i was on it for 2 years and my face was wonderful, but now that i have moved out with my dad, he really doesn`t believe in medicine all that much. :/
