okay so i keep hearing this term, and I hate to sound dumb, but I guess I really dont know what it means. They say hormonal acne occurs in certain areas..but is it called hormonal because its a result of your hormones acting up? and can you grow out of it... and if your acne isnt hormonal then what is it? ahhh so many questions.

For girls, hormonal acne usually means that it gets worst during PMS. Birth control pills are so effective in many females because it helps control that.
For boys... I dunno, and your name is Hailey anyway, so it probably doesn't pertain.

Some people have found their acne to be from allergic reactions to food such as wheat, dairy, etc.

Oh I think mine must be hormonal, I get it always on my chin/jaw line when I'm stressed out. Well that sucks. Will DKR stop the hormonal acne or at least improve it? Or is hormonal acne something you just have to put up witih?

i had the exact question... i think what Hailey meant was that if hormonal acne is mostly along the jawline and stuff, what do you call the acne that just people get anywhere around the face? isnt that acne also caused by hormones too? (i mean hormones are the one reason that causes acne rite?)
why do they call one "hormonal acne" even when the other one is caused by hormones?

TBH, I don't believe any of that malarkey. I don't see how you can say that only acne around the jawline/chin is hormonal. I'm sure mine is hormonal, but I get it everywhere. I don't think hormones determine where exactly your pimples will surface, but I may be wrong?

For males it's fairly simple, castration should take care of it. For females BC pills can help.

see i started breaking out on my cheeks...and it came out of nowhere...and my doctor classified it as hormonal... perhaps hormonal has to do more with the time span(for some its short for some years) , and the fact that it will occur in the same spot according to individual....

yea the whole hormonal thing can be confusing but I think what people mean is that spots around the mouth/chin/jawline work in tandom with the female monthly cycle ie may be bad during your period, just before or when you're ovulating
