first off, your right. heinz is a lot more acidic than the organic avc. it will dry up your face a lot more and even leave it flaky. curently, im using heinz avc and i still see improvements but i also have to wash my face more and moisturize in the morning. if your skin can take the high acidity then you should be fine, but if it makes your skin too dry and irritated i would suggest goin out and finding the organic avc. so far, after a few days ive been able to deal with the dryness but honestly i dont know how my face might look in a few weeks.

I actually ordered the organic kind, but have been using Heinz in the meantime. It doesn't really do harm to my face at all. Although it is more acidic and it's obviously processed differently than say Braggs. I'm interested to start using the organic to see if there is a difference or not.

thanks for the advice. last night i just started putting some aloe vera on top of the acv as a moisturizer. so i'm putting 2 treatments on my face without washing them off, will this clogg my pores? or is this ok?

personaly when i apply the avc, i do it about 15 or 20 minutes before i shower. i dont really see much a difference if you leave it on all night or if you wash it off after about 20 minutes. ( i do this mostly because i dont want the smell to stink up my room). then i mousturize in the morning. i dont think that putting them both on will end up harming you i would just recomed letting the avc dry on your face (wait like 15 minutes) before putting on the moisturizer so then you can get the full affect of both.
oh and btw, changeofpace since you have been using heinz for a while and i just started, i was wondering if it really worked and how long it took, also how did u apply it??? topicaly and orally or just one of those??

Hi,
Well the Heinz worked in so much as I haven't gotten any of those big zits in a while. My face is not completely clear, but there is definitely a difference. Also, I have problems with shaving breakouts as well, so it might work better if you don't have that aspect to factor in.
I wasn't injesting the ACV at first. I just did the acv/lemon juice/water mix on my face. I didn't have much luck. So then I started taking the 4 tablespoons a day and then putting the ACV right on my face at night as an astringent. And that's what I'm currently doing. Although, again, this is all with the Heinz brand. So the organic could possibly give better results. In addition to ACV, I do the soaking too.

yea im doin about the same as u aswell as using the heinz brand. im soaking for 80 seconds instead of the 60 because ive been doing that for a long time now. and i do need to shave but not so often (im only 16) so im gonna stop with the shaving until it is necessary (every 2 weeks or so) i just hope i get some good results from this stuff because if this doesnt work im gonna try acutane and risk the side effects

Hi. I started drinking organic acv on Monday..I take 2 tablespoons in the morning and two at bedtime. It sure tastes disgusting. I take it with water. I am currently on accutane so I dont want to apply it to my face as a toner. But I sure hope it helps me with my IB. Not that I"ve taken Buckleys for a cold but i"m sure this stuff would rank up there

it actually does work for me a lot, my acne is getting better every day even though it was pretty mild to begin with. a few scars are fading away, and they're getting even better with the aloe vera gel too. and my skin looks almost one color! :]. But the bad thing is is that it is a little drying, but that's why i apply the aloe vera gel over it. For me, it took about 2-2.5 weeks to see results. But results can vary for different people.
