So my acne has been getting worse and worse just in time for summer sad.gif

So I go to the doctor and she prescribes me some Clindamycin Phosphate and while at CVS I pick up Neutrogena Rapid Clear spot treatment and Stridex Pads(2% Salicylic Acid).

Anyone have any expereince with these porducts... right now my biggest concern is this big spot on the end of my nose thats been there for a while and in my opinion the most embarrasing place to have one.

just seeing if anyone has used these and what the results were like.

Clindamycin topical is really good for a lot of people. I had an exceptional clearing of my acne using that, plus Retin A, way back in college. The bad thing about that for long term use is that it can cause antibiotic induced colitis. That's why I stopped using it after a year. I did not have a problem but I wanted to avoid one if at all possible.

So, yes, it works well.

It would be best just to use it alone for a while and let your skin get adjusted to it before you add in the stridex pads and other topicals. It can make your skin feel dry and burned on applying it.

I tried oxy pads and stridex pads when I first started breaking out when I was 14...............and I HATE them they burned my face, and left a big red scab that eventually fell off,but left a red mark, which I still have, and I'm almost 20.

That's my experience,I would advise against the pads,the other two I don't know,sorry.
