What causes acne on the side of my cheeks by my ears/sideburns? I'm convicenced it's not my pillow so what the heck could it be?

Also my acne is getting less however every spot i've ever had has left a red/black mark not raised on my face, it;s pale but will these ever go away if so is it possible to speed up the process?

By the way i'm 18 male never used a facial product in my life don't really understand about clensers/exfoliation etc. I also get dry skin on my face usually all around but not bad after i wash my face however i just wash it off just for extra information.
