Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum, but I am not new to acne. I had mild acne, whiteheads in high school, cleared up pretty much all during my 20's, with the occasional bump or two every month, but since I had my daughter in 2003, it has been a never-ending cycle. I have tried: AcneFree (kind of like Proactive), Differin, just about every Neutrogena, MaryKay, Nivea product (cleanser, toner, BP line).

I am wondering if stopping birth control pills and choosing a non-hormonal method of birth control has anything to do with this "new" onset. I have been off the BCP for almost four years, and since then I have had a ton of whiteheads, some cysts, and a lot of inflammatory flareups. I scar easily, and am left with dark circles where the pimple used to be, and that takes almost a year to fade. I went to nursing school as well (2005-2006 = high stress maybe), and all my books do not really have an answer either, so I am asking the community for advice - I am a big believer in sharing information, because medical/nursing books do not always have all the answers. Oh, yeah, and I started having mild breakouts on my back, oh, gosh, that I have NEVER had.... what is going on?

Please someone, point me in the right direction.

Thank you in advance for your response,
Stefanie
