So, I have sensitive combination skin; prone to redness with an oily nose and acne-prone t-zone yet an extremely dry, flakey chin. Currently, I cannot decide upon a cleanser as part of my routine. I'm having a BAD breakout which just will not clear in the slightest. I'm currently switching between cleansers, from Elemis Balancing Lime Blossom Cleanser to simple Extra Virgin Olive Oil and find it hard to stick with one product consistantly. After reading reviews, I've thought that maybe Dove Beauty Bar (Not sensitive, I read that clogs pores) would work. Has anybody tried this bar and would like to share their experiences? I'm scared it'll be too harsh for my extremely sensitive, redness and acne prone skin. Thanks a lot.

i tried the dove beauty bar but i think it clogged my pores not entirely sure if it was the cause but i didnt like it at all. it left my face dry and the fragrance was really strong. plus it is a pain to carry a bar soap when traveling.
as of now i am in week three of water only so i cant really help with other products
Good Luck!

Would you recommend the water only regimen? I'd like to try it but I'm just skeptical it wouldn't fully clean my face. Do you soak or just splash your face with water?

You might want to try the Aveeno Ultra Calming Face Wash. It's really gentle, and your skin sounds just like my mom's and she uses it and loves it.
As for the Dove... I wouldn't recommend it. I wouldn't recommend just water only, either.

Yes, I would recommend water only. Obviously it is very hard to just stop using products so you may want to come off them slowly especially bp.
I don't even soak I just splash warm water on my face, usually twice a day and I figured out gently rubbing with just your fingertips seems to help exfoliate a bit.
I am almost at the one month mark and my skin is looking great, I'm really excited.
If you are going to try this I will warn you, you will probably breakout quite a bit around week two just like many other treatments, however for me there was nothing big just whiteheads basically.
It feels great not being dependent on anything and now I don't even really worry about my skin.
Hopefullly it will just get better from here!
