Google: moojamba (to jump straight to this regime)

Get rid of your acne in 2 weeks. (same skin type as me might apply. And if exactly the same, this'll work in about 3 days flat.) eusa_dance.gif

Moojamba's Ultimate Regime:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

idea.gif STEP ONE:
Swallow: 1-4 Teaspoons of ORGANIC APPLE CIDER VINEGAR EACH DAY!!!
(most important! Swallow without fail! Not topically on your face - totally different)

idea.gif STEP TWO:
(recommended, but optional) Morning and Night - soak/submerge your face in slightly hotter than warm water. (60 seconds) AND give your face a quick warm rinse around 5pm, after work or school to clear half the day's filth which has masked your face. This is a great help, twice a day just isn't enough. (i.e morning & night)

idea.gif STEP THREE:
Use NO soap, NO chemicals, NO shampoo on your face. If you're a girl or cross dresser, yes, use your normal make up remover because that's manditory. If you're a guy shaving with chemicals, continue unless you can give a dry, electric shave a try.

That's it. Do it and see.

The Explanation. Part I. The Apple Cider Vinegar
===============================

It's come to my attention, and I give credit to previous posters who have also flagged up the benefits of apple cider vinegar (ACV), that this is the truest miracle working for acne in the world. When you start your regime, if you have lots of spots, hit them hard and start off with 4 teaspoons of ACV a day. That's 2 in the morning, before you brush your teeth, and 2 at night, before you brush your teeth.

THIS IS THE STUFF!! Get it cheaper at Sainsburys, Tesco, Etc. Or Find exact equivilant if you're in the USA. Should be common. Make sure its organic though.

The ACV seems absolutely vital in ripping through your digestive system and doing something positive about the amount of grease you produce, which makes it way to your face, back and wherever else you get acne. Yes, even Bacne is much limited! I used to suffer painfully from huge lumps. Now after months of this regime (and it kicked in FAST) I can only see a few very faded red marks. It's brilliant.

In England, the ACV will cost you about £1.20 a month. That's it. That's your total cost for this regime. ONLY buy the organic ACV. All the major supermarkets sell the correct one which is: "ASPALL Organic Cyder Vinegar" so buy it TODAY! And for those of you who think it tastes absolutely fowl - I agree. However everytime I take it and it makes me wince, I imagine it tackling my acne with similar force, so that makes me alot happier.

As for how to take the ACV, I've experiemented with that too. -Keep it in the fridge! I found this makes the flavour easier to bear, when its chilled. When it's warm at room temperature its revolting! The chill minimises the taste. Secondly, get a cup of water (or juice) ready at the same time. Now fill your teaspoons with ACV, lower your head forward and pop it into the front of your mouth by your teeth. (It's not corrosive for the short time it's in there.) By putting it in your mouth this way, it won't hit your taste buds and you won't be able to taste it. Now sip in some water, stick your head back and drink it down. Alot of you will think it's no problem at all. I'm just elaborating for those who need it. -By the way, its alot easier to take it neat this way (direct off a spoon) that mixing it with a glass of water, because they you're forced to drink a whole cup of disgusting flavoured water down, which lasts much longer.

A bottle should last you about one per month. You can tailor the amount of ACV you are having each day, according to how well your spots are doing. As said, start of with 4 teaspoons a day to see MAXIMUM EFFECT. If you find you are drastically clearing up within the first week, it's going well. This should be the case. Once your acne has really calmed down, and you aren't even getting any more - now you can ease off the ACV but still keep taking it. I would experiement, and start taking only 3 teaspoons a day. Then gradually, 2 teaspoons a day. Finally (and I've lasted on this for 2 months now) just ONE teaspoons a day. It's strong stuff! But do make sure you hit it with 4 teaspoons when you start off. The same if your well into this regime and you miss a few nights (never miss) - make up for it by hitting your system with about 3 or 4 the next day. It'll really help.

An example:
Recently I missed a few days of the regime, for whatever reason. Suddenly one morning I woke up with spots. SPOTS?! How strange, I’d almost forgotten what they were as I just hadn’t had any in months! So I made sure to start taking my 1 teaspoon a night ACV again. But a few days later, those spots weren’t gone, and they worse still, they were spreading! Here’s my chance, I thought. To prove whether this ACV really works fast wonders or not… The other night, I took 2 teaspoons of ACV at night. Then yesterday (the next morning), I took 2 full teaspoons of ACV in the morning, and 2 at night before I went to bed. Today what is the result? Not only have NO new spots come up, but the others have dried up and are fading fast. There was even one of those deep annoying ones starting to come up yesterday, but today? It’s dying down underneath. Incredible. The ACV is a miracle worker. Forget it’s use as a cooking substance, take the damn thing for acne!

The Explanation. Part II. Submerging your face in hot water, twice daily
==============================================

Yes, this is the much-gone over routine as outlined for my first regime posted on this website. I still stick to it, most definitely. If you’ve already tried it, and it DOSEN’T work for you – drop it. You’ll know within one week if soaking your face, twice a day in hot water works for you or not. It works perfectly for me.

If you are going to try this… so many people have worried over little aspects of it. How clean, pure is the water, what temperature etc. It needs to be warm, that’s for sure. Cold water does nothing. Nor does the brief water encounter you have in a shower do anything. (although the steam helps a little. But if you have nothing to release out the pours in the first place, why try so hard to open them etc)

My bathroom sink is pretty big, hence I borrowed and now permanently own, a red cooking bowl just slightly bigger than my head, from the kitchen downstairs. Morning and night I fill this up with hot water from the tap, about ¾. So hot I can’t put my finger in. Now I keep the cold water tap running into the bowl until I can hold one finger in for 3 seconds. That is MY perfect temperature. For you though, something less hot might be better. You have to play around with it.

NEVER: Go a day without washing your face. Always use warm water. If possible, always, very important, wash your face around 5pm when you are home from work or school, to clean all the pollution or general air crap and sweat off. You’ll get used to it. For me, its definitely not overwashing. It’s perfect, and I notice the effect if for a few days, I miss my 5pm wash.

The Explanation. Part III. No Soap. No Chemicals. (No Drugs)
========================================

I know a lot of you are on them, and if you “think” they’re working for you, that’s great. I’ve tried them all, and certainly the chemicals were useless and left my skin looking red and irritated. As for the ro-accutane prescription drug, that left my face flaking like a Christmas tree, and bad back pains with other nasty side effects! Stay clear in my opinon. –I wish often I could travel back to my teenager years (I’m 22 now) and trash all my chemicals and drugs. I’d go buy a bottle of ACV, take my X teaspoons a day, wash my face 3 times a day (morning, 5pm and night) and then watch the reaction as my skin healed right up and grease production went way down. It would have been great.

The reason I stress NO chemicals or Soap on your skin, is because the ACV will tackle your acne from the inside. This will have the biggest impact on your skin on the outside! Thus, by adding chemicals etc to your skin, you’ll just aggravate it and totally do it no favours. Skip them all for 3 weeks I say, and try this entire regime. (But essentially, try the ACV if you do NOT want to try the face submerging)

OTHER FACTORS:

Diet, Exercise and Drinking lots of Water: It’s always good if you can do these things, but I’m not great at any of them, so I can vouch that they aren’t critical. Just don’t eat at McDonalds *everyday*.

AND FINALLY:

“Wow, your skin’s looking good!” Says my sister recently, who I haven’t seen in months.

“Thanks.” I say. “I’ve finally finally perfected my regime, after all these years. The secret ingredient is the Apple Cider Vinegar (organic). It’s just cleared me right up!”

…she runs out the door to buy some!

Ok, some more words of encouragement. I googled Apple Cyder Vinegar.

From earthclinic.com:

"Apple Cider Vinegar, that wonderful old-timers home remedy, cures more ailments than any other folk remedy -- we're convinced! From the extensive reader feedback we've received over the past 6 years, the reported cures from drinking Apple Cider Vinegar are numerous: allergies (including pet, food and environmental), sinus infections, acne, high cholesterol, flu, chronic fatigue, candida, acid reflux, sore throats, contact dermatitis, arthritis, and gout. One reader reported that a shot of ACV saved him from going to the emergency room for heart pain. Apple Cider Vinegar also breaks down fat and is widely used to lose weight. It has also been reported that a daily dose of apple cider vinegar in water has soaring blood pressure under control in two weeks!

If you can get over the taste of apple cider vinegar, you will find it one of the most important natural remedies in healing the body.

Apple Cider Vinegar is also wonderful for dogs, cats, and horses. It helps them with arthritic conditions, controls fleas & barn flies, and gives a beautiful shine to their coats!

As a wonderful side effect of drinking apple cider vinegar every day, we discovered that it brings a healthy, rosy glow to one's complexion! This is great news if you suffer from a pale countenance."

And someone left a review of using ACV for acne:

"okay...so i was very speculative of the apple cider vinegar treatment for acne, but after using almost every treatment out there my doctor said what was left was accutane. Now, knowing i wanted to do everything to avoid having to go on accutance, i came to this site and was intrigued by the entry of someone who TRIED accutane with little result but apple cider vinegar worked for them. I began taking 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar (pure, 5%acetic acid) in a glass of water 3 times a day and I SWEAR TO YOU...my face has become soo clear with NO breakouts. THANK THE LORD! even my doctor was amazed at how much my skin improved in such little time! God does really make a natural cure for all those stubborn problems. if youre doubtful, TRY IT, you have nothing to lose but your acne."

Good Luck Everyone – from Moojamba. Hope to hear about everyone’s success! I'll post acne success videos to www.youtube.com/britaindavisfilms eusa_dance.gif

Hi, to be honest I haven't tried the Heinz brand, is it organic? (The thing with the organic, is that it's grown really naturally without chemicals, so you can be sure you get the maximum effect from it. I couldn't speak for others. But you can try it.)

My advice to anyone trying another brand of ACV: If it does nothing for you within a week, bin it and go to your main supermarket and buy the propper stuff. Aspall Organic Cyder Vinegar. I've even seen it in Asda. Now if -that- (my brand) does nothing for you, and you're taking 4 teaspoons a day to kickstart this new regime, unfortunately, it's not the regime for you. BUT I think regardless of your skin type, the ACV should help everyone on the inside, which will help you greatly on the outside. So give it a try.

-I've attempted to attach a photo. It's not a great photo, I need to find one more close up taken recently.

I experiemented with putting it on my face too - it's supposed to be a good equivilant to an acid-peel. But I didn't do it very long, or often.

Anyway, you'll have your beautiful skin once you start using it really well, which means gulping it down on the inside smile.gif That's where the magic happens with this stuff!

I uploaded my pics temporarily here: (taken just over a week ago) http://www.educet.co.uk/mooJamba1.jpg and http://www.educet.co.uk/mooJamba2.jpg

What do you suggest to women who wear heavy makeup? The water soaking will not get all my makeup off.

oh yeah, I remember that was a problem... not for me, I'm a guy, buy for the gals... well, I guess the only thing is for you to use your makeup remover stuff, you have no alternative. But for all the other chemicals out there, the OxyStuff and whatnot, from off the shelf for acne - in particular don't use any of it. It's marketing bullshit and bad for your skin. smile.gif

Makeup remover you gotta.

By the way, the last regime I posted on this website got: 115,853 views, as of now. So we have to see if we can beat it with this new regime.

And if I was asked: whats more important, the face soaking or the ACV, I'd reply immediately the ACV - that's the difference. However the face soaking really is good too, unless you have the type of skin which can't take that, then quit that part pretty soon and just carry on with the ACV. Do make sure you still wash about 3 times a day though, even if your 5pm rinse is just a really quick one. I personally just don't think being awake 14 hours and only washing morning and night is enough to have actually clean skin. That's why 5pm is kinda the halfway mark in my opinion. smile.gif Good luck!

This may work for some but definetely not for me. I tried the water soaking mehod for about a month and it left my face entirely dry and tight. I have oily skin by the way mind you. My face was so tight and dry sometimes after soaking that I can't even open my mouth! I also have a feeling that because of this, my face was also producing more oil then it does. I tried toning down the seconds of soaking to 60 to finally 20 and it had the same effect: dryness and tightness.

The other culprit was the apple cider vinegar. I drank it and apply all over my face. It did help redmarks and I thought this could be something I was looking for. Hell no! My face started especially my chin started flaking about a week after I started.

At first I thought everything was caused by the ACV, so I stopped it. The flakiness was gone but the dryness and tightness still stay. Finally when I eliminated both and just use cold water plus cleanser to wash my face then apply aloe vera toner did my face went back to its normal state. Yes I still have zits but my face never felt better, it was now back to normal the way it was before I started. The water regimen I realised also left my face red and blotchy and uneven. It draws out everything but didn't remove them and left them there such as whiteheads and blackheads.

When I went to my derm 2 days ago to get accutane, I told her my experiment and she said way to irritating, stop it immediately! I'm not trying to trash your post but this is MY story.

Thanks - a very good point - so this is why I put the initial disclaimer on my top post - for people who probably have the same skin type (as me).

In other words, god yes, stop the water soaking if you find it irritates your skin even a bit. It goes to show we all have very different types. My skin for example can totally take it, it's never pealed even once in all the months I've been soaking it.

With the ACV, I also haven't said much about using it actually ON your face. In general I would say no, don't, it will probably just irritate your skin. So forget about that usage.

Drinking it however... very different, and this is what I want to get across to most people in this regime. If you're only gonna do one thing from it, drink the ACV and stick with anything else you're doing.

Tip: if you do your face soaking and your skin gets irritated, then you don't have the skin type that can deal with it. Stop immediately doing that part, because it's unlikely your skin will adapt to it.

ps. If you're about to start on accutane, prepare for the flaky skin, back pains and all the other stuff...

Thanks you are very encouraging. I hope many people will benefit from your regimen. I might put back that apple cider vinegar drinking but not the rest. I come to realise just recently that I might probably have both sensitive and oily skin because I breakout from certain products and my face do get irritated quite easily. I have a lot of issues including being allergic to benzoyl peroxide so I can't even do DKR.

I'm ready for accutane, thanks for telling me that, I just hope that its the one stop solution that will end all my acne problems.

moojamba, what aisle do you find the ACV in? As I've searched in Tesco's before but haven't had any luck finding ACV.

umm, yeah, you need to look around the pasta section, where all the uncle ben sauces and stuff are. Actually, just go in there and ask someone where the vinegars are. It will be with them, they'll have quite a range, but only get this one. The person will take you straight to them. Nowadays I'm always quite impatient so I just march into a shop and go "Where's this..."

Failing that, try sainsburys. It's my local. Asda has it too. eusa_whistle.gif

I have to agree with the water soaking. I only started doing this a few days ago (going out of my to take a bath everyday) and I find that it definitely cleans out your skin.

Oh, and I drink ACV too smile.gif

Moojamba.....what exactly is your type of skin? Do you have just oily skin or is it sensitive at all? I tried the dip regimen before and seemed to work but my skin started feeling gross so went back to cleansers. I am currently breaking out again and sort of want to try just soaking my face in water because its so irritated from using BP, but I dont know if that is good for sensitive skin. My skin is so sensitive, I have to use a cleanser like Cetaphil or Aquanil. Any cleanser that suds irritates my skin. Somehow though, I used proactiv for years. That may be what caused my problem. It ruined my skin. rolleyes.gif

Forgot one thing I wanted to mention. How is it that the water alone loosens oil and dirt? That is just like you have to use soap to wash dishes, you cant just use hot water. Im worried that if i continue to dip, i will break out from major oil build up.

Hi sweetgirl82323, I think my skin type is oily, and probably not sensitive. But from your comments, I would suggest you don't worry about the dip, but more importantly try out the ACV! Then you'll require less attention to your skin from the outside.

As for cleaning encrusted food from a plate, and comparing it with your very fine, delicate tiny skin pores... trust me, the dishes need the chemicals, your delicate skin needs just some gentle warmth followed by a vigorous rinse.

Try the ACV. Then ease off your cleansers. All it takes is 1-2 weeks to notice what the ACV is doing. If you have as much luck as I had with it, one week is all it takes. 4 teaspoons a day morning and night. Within a few days you should get no new spots, and your old ones will heal rapidly. And if you have any of the annoying deep ones, they'll completely subside underneith, on their own. That was one particular thing that amazed me.

Good luck!

I would say I had moderate acne. Occasionally it would turn to severe. It definately ruined my self esteem growing up. I've really noticed a difference without it now, though.

In school, I would sometimes have spots so big, I remember a boy spotted me far across a room and walked over looking at me spitefully wondering what the heck was on my face. Then just laughed and walked back to the group he was with. Even teachers would stop and say "Gosh, that's bad" at my acne sometimes. Others would walk past in the playground and shout "Wash your f**king face!" - little did they know, I washed it about a thousand times a day.

Well, we've all been there.

The doctors prescribed me accutane for a good while, it almost made matters worse in a way.

...so anyway, yeah my point now being, my skin is like heaven! But like I found out a few days ago, spots quickly came back if I missed a few days of the ACV and washing throughly. Prompting me to post here.
