After 3 months of being on the regimen with less than satisfying results, I decided to try Accutane about a week ago. I'm a 150lb male, so my dermatologist recommended that I take 2 40mg capsules per day on weekdays, and one per day on weekends. I'm currently on day 3, and I have a question. How long does it take for the dryness / side effects to set in? So far I haven't experienced any side effects or any change in my acne. It might be slightly more severe than it was, but that could also be from stopping the regimen cold turkey. I'm a little paranoid about this, lol. Thanks in advance.

I never got the dryness side effect. My skin never got dry and remained oily until my sixth month. I had just increased my dose from 100mg to 120mg. I was already psrt the reccomended cumlative dose by my fifth month, but I stayed oily. Oh, my lips didn't get dry either.....
