I'm new this board but not acne. I've had accutane 3 times with good results, dermabrasion also with good results. The accutane has been wearing off and now I have oilly skin again-The whole problem is the oil production. Now that my skin is oilly it has become red patchy in some areas. I have an appt. on tues to investigate IPL photo facil as a possible solution-has high claims for helping rosacea and other skin problems. I was using B-5 for the last 6 months-good results, but worried about the side effects so 3 months ago I started taking mino 100mg twice a day in prep to get off it-now If the IPL and the mino doesn't work-I'll go back on accutane again "more wrinkles" then I'll have to wait 6 months before having dermabrasion. To be honest my first dermabrasion was done less then two monnths after taking accutane-I healed very quickly with no problems "lucky I guess" great doctor in Portland OR I'll let you know about the IPL treatments.

I have to add this the only real cure or lasting results were from accutane: meaning, "I was me", no skin problems and actually felt like part of society. I cheating on all my blood test while on accutane "not taking it for a few days before the blood test" test came out great. I'm still alive and kicking. I probably was one of the first people to take accutane. I started it in college in 83 when I was a air force cadet.

Just remember all of you people are made of some tough stuff. Very few can deal with the problem that all of you have faced-hang in there, as we all know it will get better.
