Hey guys,

Well it has been 4 months on lower dosage accutane... I have had a cumulative dose of around 84.. short of 120-150 but I believe sufficient for now ( I had mild acne/oily skin).

The problem is since about a month and a half ago.. my skin started flushing and blushing aslot more often like so many other people... and I even have capilarries visibile now. I believe it may havbe given me rosacea so I beleive qutting and perhapos having mild acne is alot better than red faced rosacea.

Is this getting red and getting visible capilaries a permanent thing or does it subside once your skin has gotten back to normal thickness etc?

Over the past 2 years I started to develope a little red sensativity under my eyes.. but since accutane there is always a little permanent redness there.

The capillaries will not go away, i believe the redness will go down a bit, but I am not sure.

I plan atfer 6 months to have pluse dye laser surgury, and this will help the visible capilarries and redness go away, as suggested by my derm.

Hi -

What was your daily Accutane dose? Did Accutane help your acne? Are you pleased for the most part? Hopefully, after stopping, your face will get lighter and the tone better. Maybe the capillaries will absorb into your body too...

I'm also on low dose but 10mg day. I have mild Rosacea (pink cheeks and nose) and also mild acne on my chin. I've had IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatments for the Rosacea and it helps keep my tone looking pretty good. My Derm. said if I do very low dose it will help with the acne but won't aggravate the Rosacea. Right now, I've been on Accutane one month, and the few capillaries I had, are gone. The chin acne improving and overall oiliness is better.

Take care and thanks for posting.

Yvette

I was wondeing the same thing...that if you start to develop flushing and redness, will it go away if you stop Accutane immediately?

I am going on a low dose for persistent acne, oil etc.

What was your dose?
