So I was thinking about buzzing my head. Not completely bald, but a buzz cut. I don't really have much if any scalp acne, but I'm wondering if this would increase my chances of developing some? I haven't had my hair buzzed since I was about 7 years old - about 6 years before I developed acne. I was also thinking about how my head will have more exposure to the sun, and I don't know if this is a good thing because it's not like I can put sunblock on my head and I don't want to have to wear a hat everytime I go outside.

I think that scalp acne is usually from Seborrheic Dermatitis (Dandruff is most common complaint). If anything it will decrease your chances of scalp acne. Just don't shave it with a razor, make sure to use an electronic clippers to not irritate your skin.

i never got acne when i buzzed and shaved my head bald. when i did shave all my hair off, i would get a few red shave bumps on the back of my head if i rushed it.
