Ive been taking 15 pills a day for 2 weeks and havent noticed any difference. Lately I have been very sluggish and lightheaded as well and I think its from the B5. If I lower the dose to 10 pills a day will it be ineffective?

Lately I've been naseaus and feel ill a lot, trying to do the math. I'm wondering. Absolutly no improvement either. In fact I think my acne is worse. However I do have all the side affects and then some so, my body knows it's there. In two weeks I'll be at month #3.

I have been taking 10g of B5, 2.5g four times a day, for roughly 5 days now. Has worked extremely well. No acne since. I'm going to give it another week or two, and then lower it to a maintaince dose.

To avoid side effects, I'm also taking, morning and night:

One B-100 complex pill (time-released)
One daily multivitamin pill
500mcg Biotin

Maybe your acne is more stress related or maybe toxins related. (dont know if the last thing can cause acne)
You may want to consider these things:
Is there any oil reduction: if so the pills are doing their job (according to people who post here im not on this vitamins yet)
How bad is your acne: cuz if its severe it can take long
Do you have a lot of stress? if so it might be the causer of your acne.
And do you take the B complex pills also cuz you have to do that....

Im Taking 5 at night and 5 in the morning. Reduced from 4 times a day a month ago due to blurry vision. I take a GNC multi vit daily and the 2 b complex as well. I avoid sugar and fried foods and dairy as well. My acne is not pizza face" for lack of a better description" But always cysts underneath and clogged pores everywhere. My skin has really gotten dry, yet after a couple hours with make up seems to have a oily feel to it. I don't strip my face and I use A GOOD MOISTURIZER. I think I just am rare case.

As far as i know is that there isnt 1 cause of acne, there are a few. I think you have a different reason as the B5. If your skin is really dry and its not working , i guess something else is causing your acne.

I'm on my fourth day now, took 5g per day the first three days and I'm starting on 10g/day today. I'm already noticing that my skin is a lot less oily. My acne hasn't changed yet for better or for worse, but i'm very optimistic because I know it's caused by oily skin. Thanks so much for this guide, and I'll report back with results!

Hey guys, I've been reading this thread along with some others and have decided to jump on the bandwagon, I'll keep you all updated and hope that taking b5 for the month of December will do some good - I will continue it over a prolonged period of time.

Just one question, why do we have to take a b complex? I mean, why would the b5 cause deficiencies? Sorry if I sound misinformed - someone educate me!

dont know why it causes deficiency but it does. If you dont take enough b complex you will get hair loss and worse. So take them!

For those not seeing results I would drop the other vitamins for now, such as the extra B-complex, etc. This way you can atleast determine that even on it's own it isn't working.

I took B5 for 2 years with amazing results. After experimenting with different things I'm back on it and it's working again as predicted.

GUYS have you read the recent posts about people losing their hair and skin going crazy and all this other stuff relating to overdosing on vitamins and supplements? It's some scary stuff.

I'm starting b5 tomorrow but I'm really scared so I will take 1g/day and move up to 2g and post the results over the coming weeks. If all is good and my fears calm down then I will probably move up the dosage.

EDIT: IM SCARED IM SCARED IM SCARED IM SCARED IM SCARED

It has been about 2 months following the B5 for me. I have had one terrible cyst a few weeks ago, but since then it is mostly a few small things that go away quickly and today is the clearest I have been in a long time but not perfect. I am usually taking 4 pills 4 times a day, if I notice something brewing I will take 5 at one time, but almost always 4. My hair is great and no side effects. I know it has a way to go, but I am sticking with it because nothing else has worked.

I didn't experience any IB, I was taking between 7-10 grams a day, spaced out over like 4 meals. It took a solid 2 weeks before I noticed significant changes to my skin.

I don't plan on using this as a permanent solution, but as a way to clear up my skin while testing different diets. I just can't stand how long it takes to get rid of the acne when I just stop cold turkey.

I have been reading about b5 vitamins and i was wondering if it really helps reduce oil? I feel that my moderate acne is cause by my oily skin. If i were to go on vitamin b5, what kind of brand should i get eusa_think.gif ? There are a lot of different brands, which brand would work the best? Also, where can I find vitamin b complex because i read that you need to take that with b5, but what kind and what dosage should i take daily?

Is there anything else i would need if i were to go on b5. I just really want my oily skin to go away, or simply reduced.

any B5 Brand will do it, i say go with a good company, so if they got caught of not putting in what they state then they have more to lose.

take a b complex and your be good to go

start with 2000mg for 2 days the up to 4000mg for 2 days etc untill you reach how ever much you want to go to.

dont leap straight into it same goes for coming off it. also be aware that most people experience an initial breakout on around day 4.

keep a journal on how you feel everyday. look out for anything unusual just to keep you on track

is there a certain kind of b complex i need, and what brand of b5 do you prefer? Can i just get it at a vitamin store, like GNC or does it have to be specific for acne such as vilantae. Do you happen to know if it really works to reduce oily skin, or will it make it worse?

for the be complex how many pills do i take a day?

Thankyou for your help
