I really feel like the high dose is too much and the blurry vision and night driving would probably make me stop. That is why I haven't done accutane, because I already don't have great night vision and don't feel its worth it to have no night vision.

For those who wanted an update from someone who used to use it. It definitely worked for me, and stopped oil dead pretty much. It took about 5 days before I was confident it was working. I carried on for a while (6 months or so I would guess), but ultimately its a lot of tablets to keep buying and taking, so its a hard routine to follow. I also had diarrhea at about the same time, but it went away after about 4 days.
In the end I caved in and went for an accutane low dose (prescribed by my derm on the NHS in the UK).
A while on, what I would say is firstly really try and sort out your diet if its not that great. Try a low GI/GL diet, lots of healthy veg, and little grain/sugar. I also try and cut down red meat & saturated fats (some will disagree with that, but I think mainly don't have fats AND high carbs at the same time), and try not to take too much Biotin in my diet, as this seems to conflict, although I'm still trying to prove this one atm. Anyone who is afraid of hair loss should be wary of that and take some though. I also take Niacinimide which seems to help.
The diet definitely helps, and I think may allow a lower dose of B5 which I may try again if somehow my oil comes back, but I'm hoping I can get there without any supps soon.
Carina, I personally would go and see a derm and have a chat, there may be some alternatives.

This is certainly the only treatment that has shown such significant positive results for me. I will resume this treatment for atleast one month. Thanks for displaying this information, it has helped me greatly!

10g is not an easy course to follow imo long term, but it can be worth a try and then you will know if it can help if really needed.

What are you taking, is it a reputable brand ? Also what is your diet like, and taking any extra supplements or anything ?

I would suggest to you and also Giantbran to try to be patient for a few more weeks, a few days and 2 weeks isn;t enough time. I am 5 weeks in now and decresed oil is very noticeable now, No cysts for a week. Still not completely clear, but much better than usual and for me to be able to tell adifference is something.. I am still on 5-6gms a day(sometimes I take 3 pills at a time, sometimes 4 )
Everyone is different, give it 6 weeks and if you notice no change at all in at least oil maybe try something else. If you notice a slight differece in less oil over the next few weeks stick with it. Accutane is going to take months to work too, so you might as well give this a fair shake first before you risk those side effects.
I just ordered a bunch of vitamins from Swanson, now that I am finally seeing results from something I am sticking it out.
