Hey!

Just thought I'd put in my two cents. My acne wasn't severe but it was unpredictable and very painful, it was like cysts and I also had mild acne on my back and sometimes on my arms. I took roaccutane when I was 15 and it cleared my acne up and I had perfect skin for over a year until I started to abuse my body with smoking, drinking, unhealthy foods and little sleep.

I've been using roaccutane for 10 days now. My skin is extremely dry, and my arms and legs and everywhere feel like sunburn! My lips are quite chapped and my bones are sore and my ribs especially feel quite soft, especially if I put pressure on them. I had a little breakout within a few days but nothing since.

I was foolish and waxed my eyebrows. BIG MISTAKE. The skin is now bright red and obviously burned. I'm gonna avoid waxing until my treatment ends. I am only on 30 mgs but the doctor is putting the doseage up when I go back to her in a month.

I'm hoping things will clear up now.

Yeah, your skin gets extremely sensitive on Accutane. Watch out when you shave!

You should be happy for dry skin - because clear skin will follow!

I have the dry skin under control now. Now I'm getting little pimples beneath the surface. They aren't red or anything but when the light hits them you can see them. I'm also getting random cyst like things beneath the surface. In two weeks my dosage is going to be increased from 30 to 50.

I think if they're in the process of forming they will come to the surface and dry up. I have something that resembles a cyst at the moment but horrible stuff came out of it and it's gone down but the rest are just tiny pimples which merely look like bumps on my face, nothing red or worrying. I'm also hating the redness though and the shiny skin! However, I find dior airflash make up is great as it's light and concealing!

I've been using Neutrogene day and night moisturiser and drinking Dr. Stuarts herbal teas every night.
