Week seven: I was Really bad this weekend and did not do anything to my skin but wash it with water. I didn't apply the tazorac nor did I clean my face properly. I hope I don't get another IB. The first one was really hard to cover up with makeup.
So far my skin is still breaking out in the usually spots, but it goes away faster than before. I have a derm appointment on Wednesday, so I'm curious to see what she says. I'll post pics when I get batteries for my cam.

Wow thats why my derm prescribed for me today cleocin(clindamycin lotion) and Tazorac for my back.
When I used medication on my back it was easy to apply.

Sorry to hear that you are still breaking out at week 9. Differin does work for some people, but not everyone. It is possibly that your skin will start clearing after a few more weeks on Differin, but it also may not get better. I used Differin and Clindamycin and my skin just got progressively worse. My skin got better when I stopped using it (about 2 1/2 months after starting it).
You might try icing your skin to bring down inflamation a bit. Twice a day, put ice in a baggie and hold for a few minutes on any active pimples. I don't want to advise adding any more products, since you are using a couple prescriptions already. Also, taking Aleve for a few days might help the inflamation as well.

keep using it for at least a month. I found that after the month, I stopped peeling, but my skin was still dry. Its not recommended to use lotion after you apply taz, so i put on lotion (cetaphill) in the morning.

Oh well Im hoping i dont get a big IB because i was on Differin prescribed by my regular docter 8 weeks prior to starting taz. Differin is a retenoid like Taz so im hoping Taz will just continue the process that Differin started but work better because i have heard alot of good stuff about Taz over Differin. I did get a real big IB from Differin but thats pretty much done with except for my damn forehead where i NEVER got acne before wtf?? Hopefully the Taz will clear that up.

Congratulations on beautiful skin.
Taz didn't cause me to get new red marks. What it did was help to get rid of the old red marks faster. The reason that I had red marks to begin with was that I insisted on picking my skin. In general, you should not pick your skin, this is especailly true when on taz. Your skin becomes too thin to mess with, so please, hands off. I would give it about a month to see a change and 3 for completely new skin.
Thank you for the compliment

please stick with it. Did your derm tell you to use both differn and taz at the same time? That could be a little harsh on the skin. I would recomend only using taz, but please don't become inpatient, it takes some time to work. I did get a really bad IB, but for some reason, some parts of my face looked worst then other. For completely clear skin, I would say I waited about three months.

my derm recomended that I only use it at night. Twice a day doesn't sound right to me. Anyone else on taz have some feedback?

So you only used it at night throughout the whole treatment? Im guessing my acne is more severe so he wants me to up the dosage when my skin gets more used to the taz. If the redness and dryness ever starts to go away i will listen to my docter.
