MAC still has a bad rap. It's sad because MAC foundations offer some of the best coverage on the market and people are missing out on it because their mom's friend's sisiter-in-law got a zit from Studio Fix. I refused to try MAC foundations for the longest time because I heard it was bad for your skin. It wasn't until I started working for MAC that I tried Studio Fix, and I've never had a single problem with it.

Here are some more tips: Work in layers. I always apply my colorstay foundation in layers. It is a fuller coverage foundation, but I don't apply it in one big layer. I usually apply it in two are three layers and build it up to full coverage. It is easier to blend this way and is less likely to streak when done applying. The same with powder. Instead of applying one heavy layer of powder, I apply to light ones. It looks more natural and is less messy too apply that way.

^it is very good coverage and it has never increased my break outs. I know some people complain that it does, but that is because they don't wash it off thouroghly at night.

I am extremely dry now because my makeup is drying. See before I was to oily and now I am to dry. I to wear department store makeup, MAC=LOVE, and this is the moisturizer I use:

I put this one on first:
http://www.clinique.com/templates/products...DUCT_ID=PROD609

Then this one:
http://www.clinique.com/templates/products...UCT_ID=PROD3304

The one with the pump because I know there is three on there. The pump is just easier but they are all the same!

I use Revlon Colorstay in sand beige, and i swear by it. its the only thing that doesnt turn color if my skin gets oily thru the day, but i think you have to use COMBINATION/OILY, for it to do that, just my own experience. Its the only foundation that does that for me, and also cover any blemish or red marks on my skin, i love it.

Kinda off the topic of makeup but ... I was just at the clinique makeup counter today picking up some stuff and they have a new acne line out!!! I got the kit and going to test it out! The lady I was speaking with today has acne as well and she has been using for about 2 weeks and claims her skin is like 100% better! I know everyone is different but it's worth the try! Also thanks for the tips I also picked up moisturizing lotion with the pump thanks so much!!!

No problem I hope it works out for you. I have never heard anything bad about clinique. Especially there makeup I heard was pretty acne friendly!

here is a tip for brushes: powder brush or blusher brush need to be washed but you don't have the time? Wipe it dry, vigorously against a dry towel to remove the excess oils and product and it will hold you off for a little while longer before a real washing up is needed.

another tip, buy a big ol' terry cloth/velour powder puff (not the fluffy ones that come with loose powder) and use that to apply powder foundation, if you wear powder foundation. It will give much better coverage.

Wow,these are amazing,rush!

i do have 2 questions though:
I read a review on MUA about the Full Coverage foundation--that its just a ginormous version of the Studio Fix concealer. They said that they asked MAC through their live chat.. is this true?

I also read a review (lol yay reviews!) saying that the Studio Fix foundation was not good for photography, that it would reflect the light or something. what's this about?

thank ya so much! surprised.gif

here is a tip I found out today experimenting, lol. If you over powder and you look a little too dry/cakey as the day goes on, take a slightly damp tissue and press it into the makeup being careful not to rub. It worked for me tongue.gif

applying a light dusting of bronzer along the hairline and jawline helps take away the masky look or heavy makeup.

you can also do this with a light amount of blush. (follow your hairline and put a teeensy bit on your nose)

Also! A discarded mascara wand is great as an eyebrow brush! Just be sure to wash it off first.
