As many have probably read before, I have been in an epic battle with my oily skin since forever.
However, since moving to the desert in Arizona, using tazorac, and taking fish oil pills, my skin texture is...different.
It still feels oily on my forehead, but my face doesn't "look" shiny. It's almost like the composition of my oil is...different?
So here is my question....how much "glow" does healthy, normal skin have vs. oily skin? My skin is still glowy, even right after I wash, so it can't be oil....
"Healthy glow" vs oily skin

I'd say it's hard to describe. I used to have horrendously oily skin, and I used to get compliments on it all the time. Now it's not so oily and actually looks awful in general (dry, unhealthy). Your skin has always looked great to me from the pics I've seen.

Awww, well thank you
May I ask what caused the dramatic change in your skin??

you're a female which means your hormones really aren't gonna settle. it's just life. pregnancy, early 30s and menopause, along with monthly periods and ovulation make it virtually impossible for gals like us to 'settle'

My face gets oiler as the day goes if I don't blot it; but about an hour or two after I wash it then it hits a nice glowy or dewy phase; an hour after that it's greasy.
When you have large pores I find it better to almost have a little "glow" cuz it kind of creates a sheen over them & makes them less apparent or something. My skin looks smoother when it is shiny.
I notice that people with oiler skin tend to have glowy skin when they get older. Like my aunt has oily skin, but now that she is in her 40s it just looks dewy & young.
Now that my skin is clearer my shiny face isnt so bad, especially if I remember to blot every few hours. I see all this makeup geared at making people dewy & glowy & I realized some people actually want to look like some of us oily people, haha

sounds like the oil you are producing is thinner (less viscous) so it just appears and feels as a wet shiny layer on your skin (as it should be) instead of thick blobs that clog your pores
same thing happened to me from omega 3 supplementation
