Well you already bought it so you might as well give it a shot, I say. It seems (from what I've read, anyway) that it just doesn't do anything for most people rather than causing damage. I wouldn't set my expectations too high, though.

however whilst waiting for it to arrive i did some more reading up on message boards and every1 said it was a complete scam.
when i got it i had to try it cas id paid a fortune for it, at first it left my skin feeling really soft and i do mean very very soft, so i was optimistic but stil doubted it after what id read.
eventually i realised it was doin nothtin for my acne and after a while it stops leaving your skin nice and soft and starts to feel oily in my opinion.
i used about half the first bottle and jus cut my losses n chucked the other 1.
yes i do believe its a scam, good idea all natural acne product, nice try but it dont work so they should stop ripping people off!

I googled something like "proactiv alternatives" and I came up to a review site. The damn thing looked legit because it reviewed a ton of products and did not bash any one of them (thus not setting off alarm bells in my enthusiastic head). It rated ProActiv as 85%, and their reasoning was "it's good, but it's expensive". It rated an exact clone as 95%. Docking 10% just for the price seemed reasonable at the time and I didn't suspect that they were using psychological tricks on my malleable little mind. Of COURSE Acnexus was 99%.
It took me 3 days to decide. I thought I was being thorough when I tried to research all over the place about Acnexus. I never fell for a scam before.
I've been using it regularly since the first week of October, when I finally got it. I kept breaking out, but I kept being in denial about it ("Didn't I keep breaking out for a bit after I started ProActiv?"). It "seemed" that the breakouts got milder and milder over the past 2 months.
Yeah, well, empirically, it wasn't. I'm not a total moron, though. I took a picture of my face right after I got home, then another last month. I compared them to my face in the mirror today. Oh my God, it's gotten worse. The progress was slow on the first month, but I can see that it's accelerated today. I guess it just takes a while for the clearness to go away. I nearly forgot that I had a pretty clear face one time (after a year or two on proactiv...)
I feel ashamed and outraged at the same time. Shame because I've fallen for a scam. Outraged because I can't believe someone out there would prey on me over something that is important for my self worth.
Thankfully though, I'm not so poor anymore. But even that doesn't matter. I got the strangest Christmas present. I was visiting the same relatives that I was with 3 months ago from when I had to throw my last bottle of ProActiv away. My aunt has nearly a year's unopened supply of ProActiv that she just gave to me because she felt bad I had to throw mine away (and she can obviously see that I need it). I went to the airport 4 hours early this time so I was able to check it in (instead of 2 hours last time, which was supposedly enough time...).
I was going to run out my bottle of Acnexus before going on ProActiv again, but I looked in the mirror this morning, then compared it to pictures I got last month and two months ago on a whim. Like I said, the difference was jarring. Looks like yesterday was my last day on Acnexus.
It was bad enough that I immediately ran to my computer and googled about Acnexus. This time, this thread was one of the first pages to show up. This was one hell of an educational reading.
Too bad it seems like I'm starting on square one, aka my face 3 years ago. I would have been better off if I just skipped acne treatment for 1 month, when I finally financially recovered, and just reordered ProActiv.

2 proactive is not a miracle cure you WILL BECOME IMMUNE TO IT AND WILL BREAKOUT ONA NORMAL BASIS. 3 BLEACHED NUMEROUS TOWELS; DIDNT KNOW IT WAS PROACTIVE TILL IT WAS TOO LATE. 4 HAVE YOU RESEARCHED BP??? IT RELEASES FREE RADICALS THAT MAY CAUSE CANCER. THE FDA COSIDERED BP UNKNOWN AND ARE THINKING OF PUTTING WARNING LABELS ON BP PRODUCTS. IT ALSO IS THOUGHT TO CAUSE PREMATURE AGING. 5 HARSH CHEMICALS THAT DRY OUT YOUR SKIN.

1. I applied the product with my hands, and set the timer on the microwave for 2 mins, in the 2nd minute it began to be harder and harder to spread.
The dirt and oil that was on my skin "caked up".
2. I took a towel and rinsed my face with warm water 3 times until there was no trace of it.
MY VERDICT: It worked like a charm only another month will tell.
As far as I can tell the ingredients work like a charm.
In the past I've used "ProActiv" and found that it was too much like a chore. So 1 step instead of 3 was a treat. ProActiv also left me with an irritated red rash on my chin and near my nose that drove me nuts. I discontinued use, and when I called to cancel they tried to convince me to buy the sensitive skin version. NO.
The clean and clear scrub worked, but It didn't work nearly as well as Acnexus, the exploliation of Acnexus is just superb. After the 1st use my skin felt tighter and the rash on my chin and near my nose softened, it's the only product I've been able to use on my chin and nose all other products left me with dry, flaky skin that was more unattractive that the acne itself. TTY in 1 month.

Unlike a lot of facial scrubs that use pumice, etc. to exfoliate, I find the grit used in this scrub is finer and rinses away very well and easily.
The smell is definately very good and clearly does contain essential oils.
My face is left very soft after using it without the tight feeling that seems to come with using soap-based washes.
Granted, it doesn't contain the chemicals that kill bacteria which form the core of most treatments nor the Vitamin A super doses like Retinoids but from I can tell so far it does seem to be a superior face wash/scrub product and washing your face (at least) with a superior product can only HELP acne... they even say on the bottle that healthy skin is the best defense and not using harsh chemicals on the skin can only be good for you...
Anyway.. I am going to keep at this and see if the acne I usually get on my forehead and chin clears...

I have no reservations in saying that Acnexus is a high quality botanical exfoliating scrub that has no harsh soap/chemicals, rinses away clean, and leaves skin soft and smooth. I actually find it leaves a nicer feeling skin than some of the more expensive scrubs I have purchased such as those from "Biotherm", "Vichy", and "Avene". The smell is very pleasant and the grit used in the scrub is fine and rinses away much better than the grits used in things like the Apricot Scrubs, etc. Colleagues at the office have stated (without knowing that I am using this product) that my skin looks "less angry" meaning that this scrub is clearly less irritating than even some of the non-abrasive cleansers I have been using.
As an exfoliating scrub, I give Acnexus a clear A+ as one of the best scrubs I have personally used.
As for my acne, while my skin is clearly showing less irritated, I have found the scrub has done little to change the frequency or intensity of the breakouts on my forehead and chin (my "hot spots"). Granted it has only been a short time and perhaps it could take weeks or months but the clear attack on acne is not present and I believe that if this does do anything to cure acne, it would be because of the clean, non irritating way it leaves the skin and not because of any specific acne-fighting magic. Acne reduction would be the end result of having clean skin and not any kind of targeted treatment.
Verdict is that this is a fantastic exfoliant if you feel comfortable paying the $25USD+ price tag for it and I will probably continue using it as just that-- an exfoliating daily scrub/wash as an adjunct to continuing Retinoid treatment I was using prior. (Differin) I would classify Acnexus as luxury skin care and not acne treatment.
I could definately see where this could help with blackheads and anyone with pore clogging issues due to dead skin and oil residue as the scrub feels like it removes this and leaves clean skin (thereby removing the sebum that the bacteria beasties love to feast on); however I do not see any reason to believe that this would work against deep pore issues like bacterial overgrowth that are feeding on the sebum in even minute amounts.
GRANTED some of the ingredients (numerous as they are) such as Clary Sage and Green Tea are said to have some antimicrobial properties, I do not see where this product is active against the bacteria that are at the root of deep pore acne. (It does surprise me they are not using Tea Tree Oil in their product given it's reputation in acne products/scrubs).
My recommendation:
Buy it as an Acne treatment regimen adjunct or as a fine luxury facial scrub but don't buy it as a single solution to your acne problem.
