Hi Guys

I thought like SkyRain I will keep a diary of my experience with this product.

Background

Male in mid 20's and have a spot every month or every other month on the right side of my cheek which regardless of me picking or letting it run its natural cause, will always leave an ice pick scar. I normally only have one spot at a time on the cheek. This is the main reason why I bought this product is to prevent such spots in the future and therefore prevent new ice pick scars. I have been on oxtetracycline for around 5 years now, two a day

I have regular spots on my chin sometimes up to 6. I don't really have long periods without at least 1 spot on my chin. These do not tend to leave ice pick scars.

BeautySkin Lamp

Purchased for £175 and received yesterday. You get goggles with it which I feel are small but are OK for now. To swith on you have to turn the timer on which is quite loud and even if you unplug in the middle, the timer remains ticking until finished. There is there no off switch as such.

I have used twice now 15 mins each time. I had 6 spots on my chin before first used, past the whitehead stage and in recovering stage - sort of crusting over. After 2 sessions, the spots are reducing in size but would have done anyway but the redness does seem to be going down slightly quicker than normal. I did not have a cheek spot at the start but did have two small balck heads (these do not tend to lead to spots which cause ice pick scars for me) and these seem to be disappearing. This morning my skin was dry and flaking after I had a shower. This however does happen at times when I shower in the morning so I'm not sure whether it was due to last night's use.

I will update everyweek to let you know whether I have new spots on the chin or dreaded cheek spots which is the ultimate test for me.

Week 1

It has been a week since I first used the BSL. The 6 spots that I had on my chin have heeled leaving slightly raised bumps and red marks. As I said in my last post the spots were past their worst but I do think the lamp did speed things up. I haven't had new spots on my chin or on my cheek (touch wood). I am also continuing to take Oxytetracycline.

There have been instances though nearly everyday where I felt a spot was going to appear on my chin (i.e. slightly itchy, slightly raised bumps) but they never formed where in the past I'm pretty sure they would have especialy with the stress I'm under at the moment with accounting exam revision.

I am therefore happy with the lamp and progress. The anticipation of a spot is tough and I want to ask those in the know whether the lamp is spot treatment (wht it's done for me so far) or spot prevention (what I'm hoping for it to do)?

Sorry but I haven't got any photos I can however believe the results acheived by the below

I'll keep you all posted
