I've gotten new acne to pretty much stop forming. I would say that I have one active pimple. The others have all turned into red & brown spots. How long do these usually remain? They're not scars, are they? Is there anyway to eliminate them quicker? I've never used antibiotics for my face because I prefer natural treatments, and I found out a huge part of the problem was that I was allergic to coconuts. I've totally eliminated my intake of coconuts, and the acne's cleared up except for the red & brown spots. I prefer not to use antibiotics, but would antibiotics help get rid of these spots? Or are antibiotics pointless for these red & brown spots that are left after acne?

Hi

RE: Red & Brown spots

Do you go out in the sun without sunblock on a regular basis year round?

If they turn out to be scars or sun spots from exposed scars as a result of blemishes, I have heard that Lumnaderm works well to get rid of those.

No, I don't go out in the sun without sunblock on a regular basis year round other than thirty minutes at a time to take kids out for recess. I don't live along the coast so our summers are the only hot time where sunburns could happen. During the summer I put sunblock on.

I use green cream which has seemed to fade lot of mine. I had a few really dark red ones (not scars thank goodness) from cystic pimples that would appear in the same damn spot - and the green cream has faded them quite a bit.
It just depends on your skin type and how fast it heals itsself in combination with some sort of fade cream.
Hope you find something that works for you.
