I've tried the follow brands:

-Purpose Dual Purpose (Non-AHA)
-Cetaphil w/ SPF 15
-Clean and Clear (with 0.5% Salacylic Acid)
-Neurtogena Oil-Free Moisture w/ SPF 15

All of them work ok, but make my face shiny and oily. So for now, it's either have a shiny face or a flaky white face  My conclusion is that I have combo skin, with the oily areas being my forehead and T-zone. Any suggestions for a moisturizer would be most appreciated.

Did you try Eucerin Daily renewal? I heard a lot of people use it and have great results.
I, too, get oily from lotion. I apply the lotion and then I wipe gently with toilet paper. Keeps meless oily.

i have the same problem.

the purpose moisturizer i use makes my skin significantly less oily than neutrogena, I would reccomend purpose over neutrogena spf 15.

i am debating at the moment how to heal my dry skin... use a lot of moisturizer 2x a day, or dont use any moisturizer for a week and see if the dryness subsides? Starting tonight im trying the first option, lots of moisturizer and drink a massive ammount of that H20 stuff, ill report in soon.

I have to agree about Eucerin Daily Renewal for the face. It comes in a nice pump bottle. I love how it goes on and sinks in. No greasiness or oiliness. I actually store mine in the refrigerator, so when I apply it, it feels even better. This is the first moisturizer that does not contribute to my facial oiliness. I thought Cetaphil was good, but I now see how greasy it is compared to the Eucerin.

Try Neutrogena® combination skin moisture. It contains the Microsponge® technology invented by Advanced Polimer that will help to soak up excess oil .No more oily and shiny looking face.

aloe vera??

Can anyone else confirm that this is okay to use? I use this stuff in the summer if I get a sunburn. I love the stuff. I'd use it in a heartbeat if I knew it was okay on the face.

I have used the aloe vera gel (100%) and it works well as a moisturizer, is totally noncomodogenic. It is supposed to help heal acne and red marks, so give it a try and see if you like it.

If you decide to use aloe vera, be sure to check the ingredients - a lot of aloe vera products have some type of alcohol in them, which can make them very drying (which isn't good for sunburns or healing skin!)

Has anyone used Olay Complete fragrance free? I heard it was non-comodogenic but does it really work?

I have really dry skin after being on Roaccutane and I use Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion. It's really great for getting rid of dry skin as it's quite rich. It's also fragrance free and allergy tested. It doesn't say anything about being non-comodegenic, but I've never experienced any breakouts from using it and I've used it for about 3 years now. It doesn't make me look oily and it doesn't affect make-up when you apply that on top :D

I am in consideration of using Olay's product..I'll gonna go for research for it's ingredient before I purchase one.

What is the best way to moisturize? Should u splash ur face a few times after u shower to lock in moisture or is a damp face enough?

I do cold rinse after washin in warm water, i think it helps a bit cause it cools ur skin, therefore the remainin moisture wont evaporate as much, leavin u more hydrated. :D

But after that, i dry my whole face an then dab a bit of cold water on the bits im gonna moisturise, works well for me. :D
