Hi, just wondering if anyone has had a healthy pregnancy and baby after being on accutane.
Also how long did you wait once your course was complete before even trying for a baby.
I'm thinking 6 months post accutane. Is this long enough?

I had 2 healthy babies after 4 rounds of Accutane in this order...
1. first Accutane course
2. second Accutane course
3. baby #1 (11 months after course was over)
4. third Accutane course
5. baby #2 (2 years after course was over)
6. fourth Accutane course
I think 6 months is plenty of time to wait to get pregnant. It is well out of your system in 2 months at the most.

I have been prescribed accutane for my moderate persistent acne, but fear going on it could potentially harm any future children I have.
My derm said to wait 2 cycles but that just doesn't seem long enough? Somebody also said that you can give blood after 1 month so surely it has left your body by then?
les mis, forgot to ask .... did you give birth 11 months after your course ended or get pregnant 11 months after?

I got pregnant 11 months after course ended. Aside from being a pain in the ass, he is totally healthy!

it is long enough, you just can not get pregnant while the accutane is in your system, it clears your system in less than a month, so it safe after a month.

It clears from your system in hours, or a few days at most.
The reason they tell you not to do stuff for a month or so is that your skin is still recovering from essentially being poisoned, but the drug is long gone.
