Acne and working out: What do you think in my case?

I'm a 21yo male and have been going to the gym on-and-off for 6 month periods for a couple years now.I never noticed any link to working out and acne, albeit maybe one or two pimples difference but not enough to make it really noticeable.
Only recently however, I have broken out like crazy near my jawlines where I never had acne before and am now on Tane as my dermatologist believes it is hormonal-related adult acne. This occurred about 4 weeks into a pretty full-on gym routine. I thought maybe the initial breakout was due to inbalance due to testosterone or food I was eating/milk/excess protein so i stopped altogether.
However, even after stopping the gym for 1 month I noticed no improvement and my acne just got worse which lead to my getting Tane.
The question is, is it safe for me to start working out again? I am worried the breakout was initiated by the testosterone but then again I have doubts because I stopped for 1 month and the acne continued to get worse, leading me to believe it was just poor timing.
I really want Tane to work and its been working well so far so don't want to jeopardise it by working out if there really is a link.
NB: I have also worked out previiously and went through periods where I never had acne at the gym, with periods where I did, but never enough of a pattern to know for sure.

To me it's not just about acne. You can still have a miserable life without acne you know.It sounds corny but fighting your acne is not just taking care of our face 24/7.I believe that taking care of you body and soul, eating healthy and being less stressful will greatly help your acne problem.I used to be really depressed and afraid to go out but last year I forced myself to change my life style.I started working out regularly, persuade my hobby and focus on my career instead of worrying about my acne which i don't have much control over.he he...If you think you life is fucked because of your acne, just think of people dying of cancer , poverty and war .

Yea thats true lol, but you cant live curled up in a ball not doing anything with your life, i think acne ends up controlling people soo much that they arent even living their lives..
It starts to get to the point of ridiculousness when you cant even exercise to stay healthy

Yes, unfortunatly for us thats a scientific fact when it comes to weight training but not cardio.
At my gym nearly all the guys have atleast a few spots on their backs or around the jaw area, high protein diets also seem to worsen acne.
Don't even get me started on whey protein! It breaks me out really badly so now I get all my protein from whole foods instead, except for my post-workout shake which has to be whey since it absorbs into the body really quickly

I have never been on Tane but I can comment on the work out theories that I have read here today
When you exercise you are stimulating all aspects of the body, from a physiological sense EVERY part of your body is effected, Blood, Organs, Skin, etc etc
Now of course if you do not exercise regularly you will see Up+ and Down results.
Everything your body is exposed to goes either through your airways or even through your pores.
If you maintain a regular Exercise regimen and Drink Lots Of Water you will see results of cleansing effect and the toxins & lactate clears out of your body.
Now how much you expose yourself daily to stuff that is clearly bad ( smoking, pollution, unhealthy foods, too much alcohol, etc ) will effect you
Also it takes months to see your skin change from unhealthy dead cells to a more glowing and healthy appearance, it also takes BLOOD 120 days to regenerate and get anything out or take anything new in.
These things do not happen overnite EVER
So it would be a very good idea to WORK OUT regularly & then try to Control whatever else you are exposed to but Try Not To Get Obsessed over it, Just Live !!!!! and in time it will get better.

Keep working out for all the benefits it brings.
If I'm experiencing a particularly mean break out I avoid prolonged periods in front of gym mirrors. Then I am able to concentrate on what I am doing and be less self-conscious.
Also, when doing cardio, I avoid touching my face with hands, towel or t-shirt. I used to rub my t-shirt sleeves across my face while running or cycling and found break outs on my cheeks, forehead and jawline increased.
