Maybe I should slowly move my head back and forth when using it to cover those areas.

Yes, that's worth doing.

Also, I'm trying to sleep on my back, but I often roll over on my side so my face is resting on the pillow. (I do change my pillow cases often.)

That shouldn't make any difference. Basically all the P.Acnes should be all but dead now, you're down to the last final weedy ones cowering in the bottom of the pores.

No reduction in blackheads yet.

They may well be the last to go.

Hi Wolfy,

Well, I hope you're right. The last few days have been very frustrating. I've had about 5 whiteheads, all of which I've *had* to pick at (with a sterilized needle) because I don't like going outside with them on my face. They're appearing on my cheeks now. I have red marks and bumps appearing as well, most of them not forming whiteheads, but still ugly. So right now I have about ten red marks (five from popping) all over my face, plus the ugly blackheads on my nose. I still have two more weeks to go with the Beauty Skin, but I think I'll give it a bit longer. (It can't hurt.)

You should definitely get some coverup makeup. I prefer the stuff you get in little bottles with a brush, I mix in 10% by volume of tea tree oil.

I'm not quite sure how you are using the term whitehead: a whitehead isn't the same as a pustule; a whitehead is like a blackhead, except white.

Beauty Skin Diary - Week 11 & 12

Wolfy, when I said whitehead, I really meant a zit (pustule).

I've finally reached three months. I don't think there's much difference between before and after treatment. I'm still breaking out - some days worse than others, just like before treatment. What I was really hoping for was a reduction in blackheads on my nose, but that has not happened. I guess I'll continue using the BS for a few more months just to see what happens. If nothing changes, I'll probably discontinue it and see what happens using my regular skin regimen. (I like the Neutrogena Oil-Free Foaming Cleanser for Acne.)

This is probably the end of my diary. However, if I notice any significant changes, I will be sure to post an update.

CONCLUSION: There were days when I thought the BS was working. Obviously I was trying to look for anything positive after putting out $500 (Canadian). I do not think the Beauty Skin was worth the purchase for me. I'm happy these light therapies work for other people, but it just seems my acne is too resilient against every treatment I've tried.

Great diary! Very interesting to read up on the beautyskin lamp. I've just purchased the beautyskin lamp a few days ago and waiting for it to be delivered. And I will make my own post telling how I get on with it. Fingers cross it will work! I'll also give it a good try as well for months to see if I get any changes. Wish me luck!

Also if your still looking for a good cleanser go here: http://www.detoxyourworld.com/cgi-bin/sh00...aRG0012#aRG0012

Its a really good cleanser with no harsh ingredients in it. Because theres alot of cleansers that do have chemical ingredients that make acne worse.
You spray the cleanser on your face and wipe it of with cotton pads to get rid of any bacteria e.t.c from the face.

Then you can spray your face with this after: http://www.detoxyourworld.com/acatalog/rg_msm_spray.html
A great moisturiser!

You can also get them here: http://www.acne-advice.com/products/skin_c..._cleanser.shtml

Also if your looking to get rid of any blackheads then I would try this: http://www.acne-advice.com/products/skin_care/masks.shtml

I use these products myself and they are indeed good for the skin.

Hope I helped. Also are you still using the beautyskin lamp?

A great moisturiser!

That spray has rose hip oil in it. While it's supposed to help with scars, I've read that it can also irritate skin, & help cause breakouts. ^

Good luck with your lamp! cool.gif
