hey hey...

i got on accutane (amnesteem) about a week ago- 30mg for the first month.
i just got a pimple which has a white head at the end (asking me to pop the crap out of it)
my question is... do i suppose to leave the white head there and don't touch it? or is it ok to pop it? i feel if i pop the sucker, ill pop out the dirty crap in my skin.
if i leave it there won't it just go back under my skin and come back again later?

yo man!!

If u wanna pop it then get it pop by a professional otherwise u will most properly infect it more and the mark will be heaps bigger and longer to heal!! try not to touch it alot ( i know its easy to say but really hard to do, i also sometime pop mine ) i say if u dont know what u doing then just leave it besides whiteheads will eventually dry out and fall off.

If you wanna pop it, go for it. I'm on my 3rd week of accutane, and for the whiteheads I sterilize a needle, puncture the whitehead, then using an extractor, I gently press to get everything out. Then I apply H2O2 and neosporin. I haven't had anything get infected, and they heal much quicker.

Haha, yes. I went to one a few years ago. Although they clean everything out, often the stubborn whiteheads take a lot to get out and so pressure is used which results in your face being pretty damn inflamed and red afterward. Not always a great idea, whiteheads are best left to release themselves when they're ready. Easier said than done though.

there is people that do this for a living... hahah but yeh i get mine done whenever i visit my Derm, her clinic is so cool... everything in 1 and it doesnt cost as much as people think... i just pay a regular price ($75 Aus dollars for the whole package which is seeing the Derm, pimple popper, therapist and blood test person).
