Hi all! I will start my Accutane treatment tomorrow. I am a little nervous, but I am hoping this will be the treatment that takes care of my acne. I have a couple questions that I am hoping someone can answer...
1. Do I need to use an extra strength conditioner on my hair so my scalp doesn't get dry and flaky? If so, what brand works well?
2. My derm said that my scars might look worse before they look better because the skin thins. Does this mean that fine lines and wrinkles will improve too?
3. Any ideas on a good sunscreen? Most that I have tried have been greasy.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
I'm new here!

Hello I will post my workout for you. Look for it sometime today. I am having seven girls sleep over tonight for my daughter's bday party and taking them into NYC tomorrow all day to American Girl ammong other things so I have a bunch to do, but I will get it on the web before I go to bed tonight. I think you will like it. It is not easy, but I get good results. I weigh 110 and I am 5' 1" , so you can change it to fit you, but overall it is great for me. I just got done doing arms and abs and want to die. No pain no gain right? ha How is the medicine working ofr your face?

Heya lbkgirl
hey.. nice to see u starting Accutane and your own log... this forum is excellent, im sure u find it really fun here.
1. Baby shampoo maybe once every 2 days.. some conditioners may contain some harsh chemicals, so just condition once in a while.
2. U got to know... if u already have scars before the Accutane treatment then they more likely still going to be there when u finish... it might improve a little, so dont keep your hopes up on existing scars. its help future scars so thats good already.
3. Dont go waste $$ on expensive brands... just buy those SPF 30+ (oil/alcohol free varieties) suncreen from your local pharmacies. umm try Hamilton.
Hopefully thats useful to u...
Goodluck on the Tane!!
