Hello out there!
Can anyone give me advice on how to deal with the 'tane rash?
It's up and down my arms.. my back and my upper lip! AAAK!
It burns when i scratch it, so I try not to, but it itches!

I'm drinking over 3 Liters of water a day... do I need to take Vitamin E capsules?

Lotions burn!!!

Last night I put on my "Almay Ultra Calming Moisturizer" for night time... and No kidding, I was in the "Home Alone" Movie.. Screaming aaaaaaaaaah!
I immediately washed my face to stop the burning. sad.gif

I put on some Ponds and that was ok.

Please anyone.. let me know how you got through this!

Thank you!

Vit E helps a bit, but what you really need is a moisturizer that doesn't irritate you. I have had similar problems with facial moisturizers until I found La Roche Posay - Toleraine. The line is for people with extremely sensitive skin. I get it at my derm's - more expensive than pharmacy brands but by no means super expensive. Works extremely well. You can also order online. La Roche also makes a good body moisturizer that is extremely non-irritating and very rich - Lipikar. The rash is just from your skin being extremely dry - you need to moisturize religiously, even when you think you don't need to, all over your body. I moisturize my arms, back, neck, chest, lower legs - twice a day. Good luck!

I use Euccerin, if you keep moisturized then it should keep it under raps. When I stopped using it, the rash grew from the tops of my hands to the insides of my arms...it doesn't burn or leave an icky after effect. And don't use a body wash that may suck all moisture from your skin...try to get something thats made for dry skin =o) It sucks, I know. Good luck!~

If you get the Euccerin Calming Cream, it should help with the itch as well as the burn...trust me...been there....good luck! You can get it at walmart or any pharmacy. wink.gif

Thank you!
My sister got me some cocoa butter lotion last night before I could tell her to get me the Euccerin. I'll go to the store later and get it...
the cocoa butter makes me smell like chocolate in my office hehe not sure if that's a good thing or not..
thanks!!
