Hi! New here! Am 27 years old and tired of breaking out like a 15 year old. I was looking at reviews for this and it's really mixed. I have moderate acne (mostly cysts like- not really "pimples" with pus, just large painful bumps) and I am trying to use natural products because I would like to have children. Hence- why I stopped taking Solodyn, which made my acne worse!
Anyhoot- just wondering if THIS SPECIFIC regimen has worked for people on here. Unfortunately, it's only reviewed by 8 people, so I am still undecided.
OCM hasn't cleared up my acne, and I've never talked to anyone with acne who's managed to get completely clear with OCM alone. It's meant to be a cleanser only, and you'll still need to find an acne medication to use with it that works for you. The main benefit of OCM is that if you do it correctly it won't irritate or dry out your skin like some other cleansers can. The trouble is that finding what's "correct" for you can take some trial and error, and the blend that one person swear by might not work at all for someone else, and may even give them a breakout. My skin is combination-leaning-towards-dry, but the "dry skin" blend that Barnabas suggests (25% castor to 75% "other" oil) seemed to be making my acne worse. I started using much less castor oil (10%), substituted a mix of jojoba and grapeseed oil for the olive oil. I also found out that getting the washcloth warm enough to steam off the oil was too hot for my skin, so I now use lukewarm water and then wipe off any remaining oil with some ACV toner.
