i am so upset. i am totally broken out, all over my chin, round my mouth, sides of my face... im at the end of month two... shouldnt this be done yet? ive been up at the 80 mg dose for about two weeks, got another ib from that, and then it morphed into this nasty one with all new active pustules. which, of course i picked, which i shouldnt have, so now im all red and scabby all over my face.
cannot cover with make up.

have to work at 7 am tommorrow.

i feel like DEATH when is this going to improve?? IS this going to improve?

other than that, dry flaky scaly intermittent with pustules. dry lips. cracked sides of mouth.dry red rash on my neck from i guess not moisturizing enough. feels like lizard skin.

i didn't stop having breakouts until month 3. I also got another breakout when my derm upped me to 80mg and that lasted about 3 weeks. I'm on my 5th month and what i've learned is that this accutane thing is a horrible rollercoaster. Trust me though, IT WILL IMPROVE.

Vaness,

Keep it up...to use your words, you may feel like you have 'lizard skin' now, but think that soon you will be wonderfully clear...it could be any day now that the breakouts stop.

Keep on going.

dont worry about it too much as it can be expected at this stage of your course still. Espically that you are up to 80mg i think your body can take a while to adjust. I am mid way through my 7th month and just got 2 pimples and was like wtf so heheh it can be unpredictable!

the best advice i can give you is just try not pick at your skin as it makes it 10 times worse because of fragile the skin becomes. Drink plenty of water, sleep well and try and forget about the medication and just let it do its thing or you can get hung about why its not working, blah blah if ya know what i mean.

take care and good luck.
