wacko.gif Ok. My skin was looking better last week. What happened? Is this normal? I had dry skin without cysts (maybe one or two). Now I have 4 and it seems my skin is oily again. Is this Inital Breakout? I thought it was past that point. Be truthful.. Has this happened to anybody else??

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I kept getting new cysts until month 4. You're only at week 5! You have a long way to go yet. I've never heard of anyone becoming clear so early in their treatment.

I'm at the 5 week mark too. This is my second time around, and my acne was just barely coming back when I re-started so I'm not really expecting much for an IB, but I'm getting some weird break-outs right about now too. I figure it's something like an IB. Perhaps a mini going-away party for my acne?

I honestly forget what it was all like the first time around, but I'm here with ya now.

I'm joining the club. Week five (and the beginning of week six) kicked my ass. I was on the slow and steady improvement route and then POW! steady breakouts for a week and a half. I'm at the end of week six now and the new stuff has finally stopped, the old stuff is sloooooooowly drying up and dying down. Let's hope this is the last flare ever. As in for the rest of our lives. eusa_pray.gif Hope you guys are improving. --Emi

Hey Emi!
YEah.. I'm having issues here!. I want to stay focused and positive. I look aweful wacko.gif I have 3 huge active cysts. My scars seem really red. The laugh lines (SOOO UNNECESSARY) seem more pronouced around my mouth..even wrinkley looking eusa_sick.gif I'm feeling a little BLAH to say the least. I'll be fine.

How are you? What's happening with your skin? Why does it take SOO long for the new pimples to go away. That makes me mad... Okay Hope you are good.
Trish

you guys need to be more patient.. accutane is magical but not that magical, it can't make your acne go away in 5-6 weeks.. it is usually a 26 week course give it time and stick with it and you will be more than happy in 20 weeks

Hi again, Trish,

Things getting a little better, though still not great. Thanks for checking in! (Eric -- I am impatient, I know it.) You're right, it's that they take so freakin long to go away now. And then, even when they do, the redmarks are sooo red. I've got three actives, all on my chin, not too big not too small. Then I have two that I want to say aren't active anymore, but they still have a bit of a bump to them -- on my forehead. Ah, and then the redmarks galore. Tempted to start wearing a ski mask rolleyes.gif Hope you're suddenly and dramatically clear! Take care,
Emi
