Often on this forum I read people chatting about how their skin is either too oily or too dry, annoyingly I suffer from both, one week my skin can literally be as dry as a desert and then next its super oily and it seems to be totally random. Anyone else suffer from this?

I have that as well it drives me crazy sometimes, but lately it has been balancing out since I have been using regular products

I use no products, I suffer from really sensitive skin, I've only ever cleaned my face just with water ... I dont get blackheads at all so I dont think its anything do with with not cleaning my face well enough, plus I do get prolonged clear periods where my skin is totally clear. I've tried using loads of stuff but my skin seems to react to everything I put on it, even the most mild soap, strangely though its only my face that suffers from this.

But if you seem to suffer both ends of the spectrum then I cant possibly see how any topical product could help.

I do know how you feel. I have very oily skin also, including acne, and as soon as I use anything it becomes dry & flaky & aged looking. What has really worked for me to balance out my skin is egg white mask, every other night before I go to bed. I clean my face with mild soap then take the egg white & apply for about 15 minutes. It is amazing what it does. I have super sensitive skin & this has calmed my face greatly. It is very moisturizing by somehow oil absorbent, don't know how that works but it does for me. Good luck!

Maybe you can help me with my skin problems. I have dry, rough, patchy, red skin on my laugh lines, aound my chin and on the sides of my chin that when i rub or scratch lightly it will flake. I have tried every soap, cleanser and cream I could find and nothing helps, Cetaphil made it ten times worse. My skin there looks stressed and aged there. Just don't know what to do anymore. Any suggestions?

I'm really hesitant about putting anything on my face tbh but I will give the egg whites a go. I'm so upset at the moment, my skin was dry as hell yesterday but its back to oily again within 24 hours ... that really isnt normal eusa_wall.gif . I have read so many posts on here but hardly anyone seems to be having their skin change so rapidly, I would say its related to hormones but then again I'm a guy ... I cant exactly blame it on the time of the month.

I do have areas of my skin that is completely dry & itchy & irritated, I'm also sensitive to almost all creams & lotions & what really works for me is Vaseline petroleum jelly. It does not clog pores & its very natural & soothing. I sometimes put it around my eyes as a moisturizer & around my lips. It's worth a try & it won't irritate your skin at all, the worse it can happen is that it doesn't work.

I completely understand about the changing condition of your skin because for some reason my is the same way. Yesterday for example my skin looked great (small pores, glowing, even, etc.). Today it’s a disaster, the whole texture of my skin has completely changed & I did nothing different. Tomorrow it may be dry who knows.

Do you take vitamins? I take a multi, Vit E, C, Fish Oil, & B5. The B5 I do not recommend for you since your skin seems to be even more sensitive than mine, it can dry out your skin too much, especially around your mucous membranes.

I use Purpose cleansing bar (soap free) for sensitive skin & use a Purpose SPF 30 sun screen oil-free moisturizer that helps somewhat moisturize without oil. What have you been using?

Good luck & hopefully one day you will find something that works great & stick to it. Let me know how the egg white mask works for ya.
