Has anyone had success with metrogel/metrocream/metrolotion for adult acne?
It's an antibacterial rx for roseaca and adult acne.

It's been around for a while... during my early teenage phase (26 now) I gave Metrogel a fair go-about 9 months or a little more-but to let you know, they prescribed it to me for rosacea which was confined to my nose. I was taking other ineffective prescriptions along with the metrogel for acne. I can't personally say whether the metrogel works well for acne, because I think I could have a very persistent strain of it...and perhaps metrogel would work for another's adult acne or rosacea. I had a bright red nose from rosacea for about a decade. There were a few drugs they put me on like Metrogel and Azelex (azaelic acid or something like that) and a few others but nothing helped my nose except for IPL treatments. Does your doctor have you on the metrogel for adult acne + rosacea, or are you taking another med along with it, or is the metrogel for acne only?

If you're trying to treat rosacea with Metrogel and don't see results in your rosacea (if you have any) then I really can't recommend IPL treatments enough because they made SUCH a wonderful difference in my rosacea. From a bright red nose with red broken blood vessels to where now my nose looks just like the rest of my skin. You may just be trying to treat adult acne without rosacea, so let us know and good luck smile.gif
