My history:

Nothing topical, no antibiotics have ever kept me clear for long. 2 accutane courses cured me of cystic acne, my forehead and cheeks are always clear now. Was clear for bout 8 months after first course, been 6 months since second course and skin is oily again but not cystic. Its just the area around my mouth that still gets small pustles.

Now trying:

Dip twice daily
2 tblsp ACV twice daily
ACV toner nightly (50:50 w/water)

Currently the problem area isnt so great, 5-6 whiteheads just around my bottom lip area. I want to give this a full month before I go see my derm, my acne can only be classed as mild now but its still an annoyance. A 3rd accutane course doesnt appeal very much...

So i will give this regimen 5 weeks, no matter how badly I wanna cave I'll try stick it out.

Hey, we're doing the same exact things. smile.gif And my acne is around my mouth too.
Acv is amazing. Just give it a few weeks and you won't regret it and the dip works great too.
Good luck.

Thanks, how long did it take you to see results? Any inital outbreak type situation?

I broke out a little bit. But it might be different for someone else. I noticed a difference within a week. A signicant difference within 2-3 weeks.

Week 2:

Well not much to report so far. Still got a few pastules on chin area, skin still oily. I've added in EPO to see if hormone balancing can help, its an extreme amount of pills to take but it should cover:

Gentle cleansing (Dip, ACV toner)
Detox (ACV)
Missing Nutrients (Multivitamins, Flax, Greensplex)
Hormones (EPO)

Time will tell...

Ok, after some thinking I've rejigged my regimen, not sure about how a couple things were going. I'm not implementing everything quite yet, so this may go dormant for a week or two but then I'll do a mega update.

New Week 1:

Things are ok right now, nothing active which is rare. ACV direct to red marks is helping heal. So far so good...

Ok, I swear I will stop fiddling my regimen now. The regimen in my sig is the new final version, I'm starting properly when my Cod liver oil arrives. I dropped the ACV cos it was making my teeth sensitive even with a straw, I may still use it as a local spot treatment. Plus I noticed since I've been using the Zinc I dont get pastules, I've just got a few whiteheads now really and nothing really inflamed. I'm hoping when I bring everything else into effect it will help further.

Will update when I've been on everything for 2 weeks.

Doing ok at the moment, no active spots and just some healers.

HI Au! I wanted to ask you the benefits of the cod oil, lecithin and the dip? How beneficial do you feel they have been? I have done so much vitamin research that I am getting the pros all confused with which vitamin and dosage so just wanted your opinion!! biggrin.gif Thanks and good luck!!

JME - Its too early to tell any benefits yet i'm afraid, most regimens will only show their benefit (if any) after bout 6-8weeks.

Anyway, I added a prebiotic cos I've read lotsa good things. Status is still no new papules which is good, but quite a few whiteheads annoyingly.
