I know there has been a topic about this before.... but has anyone ever tried just rinsing their face with warm water 2 x/ day? if so what were the results? I'm considering not using soaps/cleansers/ wipes anymore or at least a much more natural cleanser as my skin gets sooo dry even from just water, yet by the end of the day it will be oily.
If just using water is not a good idea does anyone know of any really gentle or "natural" type of cleansers that don't over dry your skin?

if you think about it, something needs to cut through the oil on your face, and clear those pores out so you don't get new pimples, and water just isn't going to do it.

i just started using this face wash because my sister is here for the holidays and always has great organic products

http://www.amazon.com/Alba-Organics-Sea-Mi...=UTF8&s=hpc

it works great for me because ever since i started topicals everything irritated my face, including cetaphil - which is not supposed to do anything.
but it doesn't reduce oil which is ok because that's why there is ACV wink.gif

You could do the dip regime, but to me it sounds like it would dry out your face, making your face panic and produce more oil..it's up to you though, you can go read the topic all about it tongue.gif

Ok, thanks. Yeah that does make sense about water not being able to get through the oil to properly clean your face. I'm going to try a more natural cleanser though.. and can anyone recommend a good moisturiser?

Before starting on Dan's regimen I soaked my face in luke warm water (mostly cold) for about 100 seconds morning and night. Done this for about a week. Using moisturiser during the day. No new spots or nodules came up. Then I switched to DKR and my face is so much better. I don't know if the water helped or my acne was clearing up. Maybe try it for a couple of days? Also over-washing can irritate the skin and cause breakouts. You gotta be gentle with your skin.

Try using a very gentle cleanser, such as J&J Gentle Cleansing Bar.

I started the water only regimen a week ago, and I only have like 2 zits on my face. I don;t even get cysts anymore! Another thing is after you rinse your face, r u scrubbing it with a towel? I don't even use a towel, I just let it air dry. Nothing has worked better!

I'm on a water only routine, I use warm water twice a day too, but water rinsing alone did not make me 'feel' totally clean, which could because I used cleansers for a long time before. And it didn't help with clogged pores very much. But my skin is more elastic, less dry and flaky than with cleansers. I cheat with a cleansing cloth, so that I can feel clean with water, and i use the pore gripper to clear as many pores as I can.

If you feel dry with just water, try moisturizing with a light non-oil based moisturizer immediately after washing, i apply it before my face is dry and that works for me. surprised.gif

Its much simpler, who knew water could be so good for skin.....its harmless, so give it a try??

that idea will work short term but not over a few months

hot water blasts will remove most of the oil/sweat from your face but it will remove very little of the dead skin cells

and frequent manual exfoliation is just asking for clogged pores

fast forward 2 months and we will see your opinion when your face is covered in thick dead yellow skin patches
