Just an FYI for those in MN either currently having SB tx's done, or considering having it done. I just found another practioner who has the SB machine, although not sure how reputable they are...it is the Spa Med (or Paramedical Skin Center) located in both Woodbury and St.Louis Park. I just checked on the prices, they seem quite a bit cheaper (but again, not sure how reputable) than the other practioner in the twin cities area. The current costs are $200 for a full face tx, or 4 for $600, and it is performed by one of their RN's. The costs may or may not include numbing cream and microdermabrasion.
If anyone has heard or gone to them, please keep us informed!
FYI - For those seeking Smoothbeam in MN

Hey Jilly thanks!
I've been going to the Edina skin clinic and they charge $500...I actually have an apt today for my 4th treatment...I think I'll look into this other place....500 is waay to much, but they seem to really know their stuff there...but it dosent seem like smoothbeam is a rocket science.

I have had only had one SB tx with the dermatologist in Edina, and I was fairly satisfied with the service, but it was quite expensive...I am going to set up a consultation with the RN at this place and see how it goes. I will keep everyone posted on what I find out.

Hmm...I was going to go to Center for Cosmetic Care but now might change my mind. $500 for full face is too much. Does anyone have the phone number or any idea of improvement rate from them?

I just wanted to update everyone on SpaMed in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area, in case anyone is considering using them. I had 2 SB's with them (3 total SB's, one from another practioner) and although I was not incredibly impressed with the interpersonal skills of the aesthetician who performed my SB, I was initially satisfied.
After experiencing a significant increase in breakouts, and the formation of three new indented scars, I called Spa Med to cancel. Since I had purchased 4 treatments for $600 (although they are increasing the amount), I wanted a refund for the 2 treatments I had not received. The aesthetician was rather rude, chastising me for not going for a treatment more often (I was going once a month), as well as accusing me of picking at my acne and causing the scars. After an unpleasant conversation with her, she informed me that if I insisted on a refund, I could only have a refund in products (most of which are useless to me ~ such as laser removal).
I am very disappointed, not only in SB making my skin even worse, but at the unprofessionalism at the way the Spa handled the situation. Rather than suggesting alternative treatments and refunding my money, they inclined to instead be rude and unprofessional.
Just an FYI for those considering to use them, although I am sure experiences vary.
