Heya dudes and dudets,

Started taking accutane 16 days ago, 40mg/once a day. Im 22yo, 70kg and having bacne & some chest acne.

I'm starting to have 2nd thoughts about whether to continue taking it (will be explained in a bit).

Side effects im having
- Dry lips, of course. This is not too terrible if you put Petrolatum based ointments 5-6 times a day + before bed.
- First week i was red - very sensitive to sunlight and using sunscreen at all times.
- Joint and muscle pain.
- Lower back pain.
- Hair falling more frequently than im used to.

I can live with these for 6 months, but here's the annoying one: I think im starting some constipation, I used to go 2 times a day and now i only go once, and i feel like i have to struggle to get something out.

Now, if I knew these are all temporary and will go away after finishing the medicine ill conitnue, but i read some stories that joint pain lasted, and that some digestive systems became problematic, and that people had descreased sexdrive.
This scares the shit out of me.

Your opinions?

oh, and is hair loss temporary? i mean - if hair falls, will it grow back in the same spot after i stop accutane?

it normally is temporary, is the hair loss noticeable (to other people, i mean)?

No, not at all, its just that if i move my hands thru my hair i see ~2 hairs every time, when i usually had none.
